It's Michael Monroe, he *used* to be a rather scrummy Metal god.

A few full English breakfasts would soon sort him out <biggrin

We would all be better off eating a full English breakfast every morning according to the latest diet book I read. Big breakfast, moderate lunch, light supper, no snacks. As thin as that guy is, he must already be eating that way.

A good breakfast sets you up for the day, and you need it because your blood sugar's likely to pretty low since you haven't eaten for probably eight hours or more, but it's so difficult to make it work. I don't know about you, but I'm just not that hungry in the hour or so between getting up and heading out of the door to work, and if I wanted to prepare a full English and eat it without having to rush, because a breakfast like that should be taken at one's leisure, with the newspaper, I'd have to set the alarm for 5am
I heard it said that in the 19th century mills of England, where people had to be at work at some ungodly hour of the morning, they'd get a break around 8am or 9am, which was probably two or three hours after they started work, and eat breakfast. That seems like the way to do it.

Speaking of a full English breakfast, is the tomato grilled or fried in the drippings from the bacon or sausage?

It can be either. I prefer them grilled, but 'grill' is one of those words that has different meanings in the US and the UK.
UK grill cooks from above: http://uploads-preloved.com/uploads/userphotos/11/0708/3324302-417m.jpg (that thing at the top of the cooker)

So what the UK refers to as grilled is what we would call broiled in the US. And I can see where broiling the tomato would be a great way to do it.
Once again, divided by a common language.

Pretty much. In the UK the grill is effectively an open toaster, so you can cook bacon, sausages, tomatoes, chops almost anything that can be fried (not obviously ). So it's kind of like an American broiler but smaller and not in the oven.

I use my broiler quite a bit for meats and to brown things I've roasted. One reason I switched over to a gas range from electric a while back was to have a proper gas broiler again.

I wish I had could have a gas cooker again. One of the few drawbacks about living in an apartment complex.

I'll take issue with not , Gosho.
Thick bread, toasted on one side, using a cake cutter take the middle out of the toast, place 'untoasted' side up and add the egg into the hole. Grill until cooked. It can get messy depending on how fresh the egg is, but it does work...
Naturally, one would have to place the toast onto tin foil before adding the egg.

I'll give you that one, Magwitch, and delicious it is too But you can't just crack an egg onto the rack of a grill pan
