Okay, I just used the restroom. And I had a thought. Why is it, really, that people wash their hands after they urinate? I can think of two main reasons. 1) Their genitaliar region (I think I just made up a word) is "dirty". 2) They don't like touching urine because it's also "dirty". But, 1) I wash myself every day, it's clean like the rest of me. I don't wash my hands after touching my face or arms. In fact my hands are definitely dirtier than my groinal area. 2) Urine is sterile; there's no bacteria in it; just some water and coloring and other waste products. It only smells bad. So I can conclude that people should really wash their hands BEFORE going to the bathroom. It'd be a lot healthier. I think. Yeah.

Plus, of course, except when your in a hospital with 70 Degrees C plus hot wate rin the taps, the 'cleaning of the hands' most of us do after visiting the 'rest room' doesn't relaly clean our hands much. An interesting thing I read a while ago, about the 'common cold', the most common way to catch it seemed to be, not the 'coughs and sneezes spread diseases', but rather people touching door handles etc., that had been touched by someone with the cold, and then rubbing their eyes

Actually, I don't think it smells bad until you've let it sit for a while. 'Cause, you know, the bad smell is from the bacteria, which aren't there yet. So why should it stink yet? Oh man, this is getting really wierd.

Even if we know it is ok to not wash your hands after urinating, it is a good idea to do it for those around you who are not as enlightened in the area of genital hygine, as it might bother them.

True. Which is why we need to tell people of genital hygiene! Yes! That's what we need to do! So then all the world will know, and wash their hands beforehand!

I've gotten into the habit of that now. It feels sort of odd.
