I plan to give them a phone this afternoon, if I can get over the inevitable nerves, to check all is going okay. I will also try and get a date of expectation from them just to stop me checking my phone for messages every half hour, even when I carry it with me.

Any old shoes, my references were all good and they are just having a think at the mo'. Apparently they have someone else coming in tomorrow to talk to them so I have to phone them again on Monday by when they hope to have made a decision as to whither they need/want either, neither or both of us.
So more nervousness until then and I still have to be nice to my current boss when I talk to her tomorrow.

They've checked your references - they don't do that unless you're seriously in the running. Reckon this other punter's just getting put through the process....!

Yeh, in theory the other guy is down for a different job with different skills but there is always the chance he turns out to be Stephen Hawking and that hence they don't need me.

So I phoned the company and yes they want me but no they can't offer me an official offer as they need to get a couple of senior chaps to sign things first. So keep twiddling those thumbs and phone back tomorrow. As I am off to see my mum tomorrow I might leave it until Wednesday before I phone, just to not annoy them, especially as I seem to be very close now. Oooo the excitement.

But all in a very restrained and quiet way till the head honchos do their bit...

A question that is still up in the air. It all depends on whither I get t'internet access at work and indeed how busy I am. I should get more time at home though, which may well transform into more time on line.
