Charlie - if your responsible, mature, living in a stable enviroment, willing to devote a large amount of time to a kid and not being fickle about wanting a kid. Plus caring and non-violent I would say you would do better than a good 15% plus of parents out there today.... and I think I am being a conservitive guesser there....

Hell include wanting the best and willing to try and make the best oppurtunites for a kid would rise it to 25% plus

Hell yes I agree with flamestrike, and from what i've seen of the way they treat foster children you'd be doing a child a huuuge favour. My boyfriend's foster sister has just been told she has to go to another family even though she's completely happy where she is. what it comes down to is that they're using my boyfriend's family as a sort of conveyor belt to sort out the kids behaviour then shipping them on. It's disgraceful. The poor little lamb is refusing to go but there's nothing anyone can do about it and it's very likely she's going to have to be removed by force. So i'm pretty sure any child would be better off in a stable environment than having to live like that.

i apologise for ranting i just feel very strongly about it at the mo.

I can understand how you feel, though only 25 and not a dad I do realise kids are important, especially on making sure they get a good upbringing - the number of scallies I see hanging around trying to get people to buy them cigs and cider outside corner shops and then wondering off to kick in the glass windows of the bus stop is abysmal... Prehaps better upbringing would change some of that if parents took an interest in it...

and if you are a slow runner accidently knock them so they are too busy to pick them up....

Or move a chair so the leg is just sticky out in the path!

Theres is nothing wrong with my method of help, its just a little harsh according to the truths of life like "No-one likes you so shutup" and "If you dont stop being so damned irritating you will suffer great pain"

In Charlies case its "Stop being so damned soft and soppy and get on with your life before someone gets fed up and ends it for you"
