I have a friend whose partner wasn't sure of her left and right. ONe day she was map reading while he was driving and they came to a junction.
"Which way?"
"That way."
"What do you mean, 'That way.'?"
"I was pointing!"
"Well point louder!"

In our car we say 'my side' or 'your side' to avoid confusion.

How worryingly sensible!
Reminds me of a lyric...
"Left! Right!
Left! Right!
We fought them and nobody's left, right?"
from A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
I try to avoid having to give directions!

Sorry simpost! The other interesting thing about giving directions is what landmarks you choose gives away something of yourself. An old Andy Capp cartoon had a driver stopping and asking the vicar directions, "Go past St Thomas's, left at Holy Trinity and second left past St Mary's." Still unsure the driver stops and asks Andy. "Straight past the Fox and Pheasant, Second left after the Queens Arms take a left straight after the Coiach and horses."

Reminds me of something that happened to me once...
"Turn left!"
So I turn left.
"No! I meant the other left!"

But what happens when you're halfway round the corner?

Better to paint it on your eyeballs, so you can see it at all times.

Not while driving, no. According to the lastest statistics, yoga was a factor in 57.5% of road accidents last year.
