I agree with you on this one Frink. Any good PSU fan will *never* forgive Nebraska for what they pulled in 1994!

Hehe Frus, I agree with you there.
Colorado has lost to Nebraska nine years straight. Next thing you know I'll be writing an article as a companion to my piece on the plight of Cubs fans.

Are you talking football here? My dad's Uncle lives in Nebraska. When the Cornhuskers lost to the ASU Sundevil's a couple of years ago, we never let him hear the end of it

Nebraska has one of the classiest programs I have ever seen. When Texas went into Lincoln, NE in 1998, Texas broke Nebraska's home win streak. It was a poorly coached game that Nebraska should have won. (Unlike the Texas A&M game where we were flat out beat) However, the fans did not get upset. They gave a standing ovation to Ricki Williams, the Texas RB.
When Nebraska went into San Antonio, TX this year for the Big XII title game, Texas fans attacked a family of Nebraska fans and hospitalized them. The police watched, and refused to do anything, or report the matter.
That right there is the difference between the Cornhuskers and the Longhorns. That's why even though I'm from Las Vegas, I moved to Nebraska, and will always be a Cornhusker fan.

Yep Irving, I'm talking football, although when you've lived in Colorado, you hope that CU can beat Nebraska in ANY sport, no matter how trivial.
Nice to see you here Ender - now that I know you are a Nebraska fan, I have to ask you to leave.
NO, JUST KIDDING! If Peta sees that I typed that, she might take my ace badge away
As much as Colorado fans dislike Nebraska, we have to admit that they have had one of the best college football programs in the country for a long time, along with Florida and Florida State. I'd love to include Penn State, but they always choke at some point. (Ha-ha Frus!)
I'm now living in Texas, and I find it VERY hard to root for either Texas or Texas A&M. When one of those teams plays Nebraska, I usually root for the underdog. Or a tie. The only time I really root for Nebraska is when they play Notre Dame.
Aren't you glad you know all about my college football loyalties now?

The kicker is this...
Nebraska and Texas don't play each other in the regular season next year. It is quite possible both could go undefeated into the Big XII Championship game, with the loser being snubbed by the BCS.
And while Nebraska has outstanding gymnastics, wresting, girl's soccer, football, athletics, etc. They have no basketball program, and their men's baseball progam is inconsistent. Nebraska does have more academic all-americans than any program year in and year out. However some other programs merit some notice as being phenomenal.
North Carolina has an incredible men and women's basketball program, and their woman's soccer program is a dynasty like few others in any sports. 11 out of 14 national championships since they started awarding them or some disgusting figure like that?
Florida State. Yes Nebraska was the winningest team of the 70's and 80's. However last year may have thrown NU out of contention for winningest team of the '90s because Florida State has been absolutely wicked this decade. I haven't seen the final winning percentages, but Florida State could challenge Nebraska for team of the decade. Too bad they couldn't play for the championship game, but it's hard to pass up an undefeated team like Va Tech.
I find it hard to respect Steve Spurrier and Florida's football program. He took all the credit for his team's success and criticized players like Ike Hillard, Fred Taylor, and Danny Wuerful. Those players are now in the NFL and Steve Spurrier's team was is third best in his conference. And last time NU played Flordia, didn't NU whoop them 64-14? The only reason the game was even that close was we pulled all of our starters, and ending the game by taking a knee when we had a gimme touchdown.
