that is, normal text is like *TEXT* and saying stuff is in ""s. Plus there are about 15 different characters in that person. very confusing.

i fixed the lights... apparently someone drove over 8 of them.

Someone drove over 8? How?

They were lining the edge of the driveway, going down to the mailbox. First, a day or 2 earlier, before I had any splits the whole array of lights was 1 srand and they went out as I attached the 9th. One was ruined, that's where I got the extras. Then, after fixing that by inserting a split and another extension cord, i was able t save some length and ran them down the side of the driveway, probably too close to the pavement. 2 days later a section down at the bottom of the driveway was out, presumably from when the car went a little off. It's a steep, slightly curvd driveway. So I went out there at night, barely able to see except for of course the light, and walked down the driveway. It has just rained a few hours earlier. Apparently not to bright. So I'm down there, I look over them, don't see anything, reach down, touch one, and am shocked. it just sparks. the next day I go out and UNPLPUG them first (good idea actually) and then search the line and find 8 shattered. And replace them. OK, i've got 4 more days to wait and I bet I'll have to go fix them at least once more. And then there's the fake spiderwebs.

As did I. So I came here to figure out what exactly you were babbling on about, or whether you were just doing a Hoovooloo when he was on premod. But, nope, you were making sense - just. And I gained an entertaining insight into Traveller, who I've seen around a few times. !

i still haven't found out who this Hoovooloo person is/was...

I did an advanced search for hoovooloo. It looks like another nighthoover legend. All the Hoovooloo's are banned.

Or do you meant that all his entries were banned? If so, I'd say that that's pretty likely. Oh, the amount of times he's gone to war with the Editors over some tiny detail...
Sorry, I assumed you'd have seen him around. He was put on premod once and he posted about two thousands posts of a couple of hundred words each of complete nonsense, which they'd have to read, of course, because they were premodding him. Oh well...
