18'767. Yes, yes, I KNOW I'm behind. I KNOW. OK? OK.
I need a hug.

I say 'and' an awful lot. It's depressing me. And everything.

No, now is not the time to worry about ands. Now is the time to kill off even more characters. Lingeringly.

Don't hyphenate words... I have been assured that it's totally not cheating.

Death count is currently three. This seems somehow a little... wet... given the international espionage, evil magicians, skullduggery and so forth. And now I am sitting here thinking 'hmm, who else shall I murder?'. And I blame you guys.

Well, you could always do what R R Martin does - kill off one of the main characters.
No wait - I actually hate that - at least when he keeps doing it again and again and again.

I did not win. I was well short of 50000 words by midnight 30th November.
On the other hand, I DO have the skeletal armature of what may well be a reasonably interesting fantasy novel containing, variously, evil magicians, elephants, the polar ice-cap, murder, unrequited love, betrayal, disastrous hunting expeditions, pirates, talking cats, sea-voyages, being so far north you don't see the sun for a month, skullduggery, woolly knitted stockings, friendship, loyalty, and a steady diet of salt fish and barley.

Oh, do finish it, please! I'll buy it, I'm always looking for new fantasy authors and, with your level of knowledge, I'd probably learn something new just by reading it - and I do enjoy novels that aren't just entertaining but also educational.

My vote is to do what makes you happy and reduces your stress level. Is it fun or is it a chore? If finishing it causes less stress than not finishing it, then finish it. If even the thought creates a ton of stress, then put it off and write at your own pace.
