Bramble Jelly in PR
Pimms Started conversation Nov 9, 2005
In response to Jodan's stirring words recently I have written a couple of entries to bolster the EG (if they get picked ), and after only a minor hiccup putting one initially into the Writing Workshop by mistake they are both in PR .

Why, with my experience of h2g2, do I get (a little) peeved that my entries are not picked as soon as they finish incubating in PR? I am now at the stage of searching for missing commas in efforts to polish them. I know its not unusual for entries to be left hanging a week or two after they become available for picking but these two are *so* good... pauses to slap head in danger of becoming swollen...
That's better Will wait for week and then them

I feel exactly the same when my entries languish in PR too, but I've never had the temerity to comment on it
Well done for being temeritous
Does that make you a tem? A temer?
I can *never* understand why Peerers read other people's Entries in PR, when I've just sweated blood over a huge tome and plonked it in there with a sigh of relief and not a little pride
Nothing like being egocentric, is there Pimms?

Once 7 days have elapsed and people stop commenting I tend to get very impatient.
By all acocunts PR is doing well at the moment which means scouts are having a lot to choose from (or so I was told).
good luck!

Much as I've never understood why no one cares about American politics and Ohio around here, Pimms, I am at a loss to explain why your fine entries have been languishing I'll try to take a look later tonight though. (though I'm not really sure when my next pick date is... )

Even Gnomon was commenting on some of his entries languishing in PR a few weeks ago so I assume that Scouts are run off their feet.
Have I ever mentioned that patience is a virtue, Pimms?

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Nov 23, 2005
In my recent experience, a good entry sits in PR for about 5 to 6 weeks before being picked.

Yes, because they get a lot more comments in PR and this keeps them in people's attention.

Mine must be pretty poor then - they've both been picked today . (Sometimes it helps to tempt fate)
