Grief is a strange creature. It comes upon you suddenly even when it’s expected. The worst part, if one can identify a single worst part, is the requirement to respond with hope and encouragement when others are attempting to console you.
A dear friend of mine died. It was time but it is never easy. She will be missed.

In the Buddhist beliefs the cat was the only creatuer not to cry,
and the closed to Buddhist phlosophy.

Cats often choose not to cry. Maybe never to cry. This cat can cry but crying and grief are not at all the same thing.
Did you mean that cats are closed to Buddhist philosophy? Or that Buddhist philosophy is closed to cats?

a main part of buddhist philosophy is disattachment from the physical,
cats as a whole are somewhat dis-attached.
but i do agree that grief is not the same as crying,
the cat grieved (well thats what i think).

Cats are extrordinarily vain and dis-attached from the physical at the same time. The enigmatic expressions and attitudes of cats are largely because they truly are elsewhere though their perfectly groomed bodies are here.
That, by the way, is how cats get stuck in trees. We are really someplace else, climbing a spiritual Mount Everest for example, when we blink and find ourselves stuck in the top of a tree in this puny plane of existance.

I will agree, cats arent thinking to much when they clime trees, they are in there own higher plane which is way I seem to spend so much time get them down again,
but some times they just do it for attention.
even higher beings need people to notice them, they are not with out feeling
my cat knows the meaning of life
but has no interest in sharing it with me

Hmmm... It is a sorry excuse for a feline if it allows its human pet to know that it requires his attention. Rather the grudging allowance of human attention is proper. Of course humans do have to be properly trained. If you are not constantly seeking your cat's love and approval perhaps it feels that it must find a way to evoke that type of devotion.
My humans are perfectly trained. I utilize a combination of affection, rebuff and night harrassment to achieve the proper balance of fawning devotion without smothering handling. Perhaps your cat should find new ways to keep you up at night?

All cats know the meaning of life. They also know what 42 is the answer to. It is why, when you stare into their eyes, you're not certain that there is anything behind them. (It's too vast.)

This all has nothing to do with grief, of course. Diversion is an excellent tactic when avoiding people wanting to offer comfort.
Thanks for responding.

I know it has nothing to do with grief
there are places in our harts that we can always them
even when time is no real comfort, we must rember happy thing try to smile when thoughts of them come to you,
we all have to deal with it i our own ways,

My struggle is not with the grief. It is with the way people try to give comfort. I wish I was better at saying "Thankyou." Instead I'm too honest and that just means that I'm forced to be nice longer.

Yes Brigadeer AKA Betty, it does mean that you've loved, but the older you get the more deeply the grief reaches within you. And it leaks out at the strangest moments. Ah well, my friend lived long and well. I hope that I can do as much.
