I've spent the last couple of days at work running around like a headless chook, which is always a beautiful thing , but it looks like things might be cooling down a little now, which will be very welcome!

I'm doin' ok...walked 3 k in a big fund-raiser here on Sat., under cloudless skies & the (keep this ve-ry quiet!) good weather seems to be holding.

Something about good weather that just makes things better, isn't there?

I prefer the cooler weather myself, so as we near winter (as you near summer ) I'm really coming into my own. I'm going shopping for trenchcoats soon - I'm so excited!!

Yes, you'd said you prefer it cooler - I do too. This was just nice, unfortunately, the "dog-days" (as in 'panting like a tired, overheated dog') are yet to come .

See, it's winter in a couple of weeks, and all I can think is "Man, in a couple of months again it'll be hot again! That's me, always the optimist!

Ah, y'see. here we're approaching summer, and it's still probably colder than your winter!

I've been considering moving to Russia. I don't know anyone there, can't speak the language, am unaware of the customs/traditions and I'd probably have ahard time finding a job.

But I'd be able to wear big coats and hats all the time!

I could have been spotted in December at a Sunderland football match wearing a big coat, wooly hat and gloves, and still freezing my bollocks off in a 3/4 full stadium with the North East wind coming in.

Big coats.....so warm....so cool....something inhernetly "Reservoir Dogs" in it for me ....

Well, I ahve a nice long, thick black one, which I often ear with my suit on the rare ocassions I actually work, and if I then add a pair of sunglasses, I look rather cool.

All I need now is a Van Morrison hat...

I used to have the coolest trenchcoat a couple of years back, but somebody knicked it!!

I tend to spend an awful lot of time looking like a bit of a roughnut - or a hitman! (I have a black suit and a red tie, and every time I wear it I get some sort of "hitman" comment).

I was having lunch the other day with my little brother (who has a preference for black pants & tops, or the general "gangsta" thing, much to my chagrin!) and one of the girls I worked with said it looked like a mob meeting.

...That's just what I always wanted....to look like a killer....

well, my part time job is as a court clerk for a lawyer, so I suppose people might get the wrong idea if I turned up in the full caboodle, hat and all.

I might start carrying a violin case instead of a briefcase as well...

My brother's a muso, so he's got a guitar case!
