Stairs, noe there's an idea. Of course, with some of my girlfriends I'd have had to stand about three or four steps lower...

Trust me, once you start looking, you'll notice there are things around of all different heights that you could stand on if you needed to..
(and on that note, I'm out to lunch!! )

Lunch! I've goit hours to wait til breakfast (3.20 am over here), just here in the library trying desperately to remember what I'd written in the essays that are on the hatrd disk of my laptop, which currently refuses to work, damn the bastard (essay due in 12 hours- I'm going to beg for an extension after breakfast)

Best of luck there Egon, I swear sometimes these things have a conspiracy against us!

it is now 12:35pm, Thursday arvo here. A day and a half left - woo hoo!!
Ah, bless the technology! From high school I have learnt to keep things on hard drive, on a disc and a hard copy. let's just call it one of the benifits of extreme paranoia!

yeah, I tend to, but happened to forget for these. Also, every time I've saved to floppy disk lately, the disks corrupt themselves, and I did burn to CD for a while, but I'm out of CDs.
Ah well, my lecturer is an understanding chap so once I've got some breakfast insiode me, i'll head out from this ol' uni library (actually, i should probably leave the library before eating the breakfast to be honest- the librarians probably dn't take to kindly to fy-ups in the computer suite) towards his office and beg for an extension- so that I can finish it off (if my compuet can't be fixed anytime soon) during my spell of thee exams and a presentation in the next two weeks.
Ah, the joy of the end of term...only two weeks to go.

Ah, well, come May 23rd, I'll be off home from uni for the summer and into my pinstripe suit for my part-time job, and I'lkl actually get *paid* for writing down what people are saying, which is a lot better than doing it for free, I can tell you

Ah well, I only have another year left after this. I had been considering applying for an MA after that, but I think I might get a job instead, as I'm not sure how much more of this bollocks I can put up with.

I went to uni for a year. A whole year.
...I had no problem with the subjects, they were ok, some of them were actually quite interesting. But the thought of being surrounded by those idiots (ie "fellow students") for four years bugged me. And the idea of having to work with them, and people like them, for the rest of my life....that just messed me up entirely!

Well, I was mooching round the web the other day trying to decide what to be when I grow up (scary thought), and decided I'd quiote like a job in some kind of government department (Politics student, you see). in fact, the British Foreign Office sounds very interesting, and apparently they're holding a careers day in the summer, so i might pop down ("pop down" in this case referring to a four hour train journey) and see if I like the look.

I was going to "go into politics" when I was younger, but my Dad told me that they were all a pack of lying b*stards...
...this from a used car salesman

Ah, well, i'ma member of the least popular of our three main parties, and we aren't lying b*stards. good god no. Problem is, everyone believes the lying b*stards, so vote for them instead. C'est la Vie.

Hi Kristy s...wow, I still can't believe this somehow, but negotiations (whatever) have begun to make me (yes ME!) an ACE...kinda huh?

tanzen Posted May 12, 2003
Hello dearest, how are you ?
I don't understand why you would be so shocked at the prospect of being an ACE. You're such a people person, welcoming and all the other good stuff....

I'm fine (actually better now .)
Yeah, always a bit weird though being recognized for something that comes so naturally....nothing unusual - not that big a deal, not to me really.
