abbi normal "Putting on the Ritz" with Dr Frankenstein

I get stuck on threes. They smiley - fairy unstick me too! I will not ask for something more than 3 times.I will not tell someone a thing more than 3 times. I do not consider anything a good try until I have attempted it 3 times (at least). I feel I have had 3 lives smiley - magic within this one. I do not have to *count to three for things smiley - angel thankfully. I know many people have numbers stuck to them in that way smiley - sadface My number 3 thing is more about noticing 3's. I can take things in stride until 3 big things hit me at once. I have saved my sanity by noticing that "3" set! This all could be about my incessant need for balance.I do believe the trinty is a big 3 for me. My twin and I both wonder; was there was a Third childs soul at our birth. I am having a problem Not wanting to ask for the same thing for this New Year to come. But If I do Not ask......again.......then ........ What? smiley - fullmoon I must be failing myself somewhere... Oh He*l, maybe another 3 days and I will feel different.smiley - angelsmiley - angelsmiley - angel I have noticed 4:44 on the clock almost daily. (I have always been qued to notice 11:11 the angel moment as I call it) Anyone into numerology out there? smiley - yukI am stuck in my own mud.

I know I've seen some pages of people into numerology, but I can't remember any names. I like times that are in sequence, like 1:23 or 3:45. I tend to prefer numbers that are even, and I like numbers that are symetrical, like 88. You can flop it horizontally or vertically, and you still get 88. I am looking foward to my 40th birthday in 3 years, cause I know my brothers and sisters will throw a big party to tease me.

In my world smiley - magic If there is a trinity,it would have to include a female spirit. How and why a father and son~~but~~no mother?

one of the earliest known trinities was maiden/mother/crone (anatolia 7,000 BC)

later in christian times the gnostics held the trinity as father, son, holy ghost, but the holy ghost was seen as sophia, goddess of wisdom.

i think later still even though christianity had an all male trinity, mary as the mother of god managed to survive and hold the female energy.

Thank-you for that! I am convinced females were just written out/off. Not that religions are logical.... it does not seem at all logical to me smiley - laughI love reading about all the religions, myths, stories. I was always curious about Mary and the place she heeld in the Catholic church especially. I have grown to have great respect for Mary and Ruth.smiley - discoI love the work of Joseph Campbell. He spent his life finding similarities, rather than differences in myth & religion. I had done the same, feeling rather alone, but OK in doing so!smiley - disco

smiley - smiley You have wonderful knowledge! *would like to absorb and retain all* I have trouble hanging onto facts. I resort to *feelings* or impressions of all I had learned before. It is hard to prove where I am coming from without facts though! Understandably, some folks want "just the facts" smiley - disco You have both, facts and heart, lovely combo!~~~anytime you want to share~~smiley - smiley

"I am convinced females were just written out/off."

i agree smiley - sadface. there's been quite a bit written to redress this. let me know if you ever want book or web references.

"I love reading about all the
religions,myths,stories."

me too. more so fiction now, particularly the feminist revisioning historical fiction.

"I was always curious about Mary and the place she heeld in

there is some great work out there about the black madonna, and how she has been incorporated into cultures that have become christianised eg central american, central european.

"I love the work of Joseph Campbell."

amazing man. i haven't read much of his work directly, but come across references to him and his ideas all the time. he did a great tv series that i still have a few episodes of on tape i think. i think i first came across his work via jean houston.

"He spent his life finding similarities, rather than

what kind of things have you been reading ? how did you come to joseph campbell ?

"You have wonderful knowledge! *would like to absorb and retain all* I have trouble hanging onto facts."

actually i have a really good book collection smiley - laugh

"I resort to *feelings* or impressions of all I had learned before. It is hard to prove where I am coming from without facts though! Understandably, some folks want "just the facts" You have both, facts and heart, lovely combo!"

thank-you smiley - smiley

something i have been realising lately is how much i have relied on my intellect to validate my beliefs. because i always can argue my stance if i am being challenged. having the facts has often empowered me. in the last few years because my cognitive function has changed so much (much less access to memory and facts especially), i have been noticing i am developping the feeling and intuitive aspects more. this is great. also i am starting to feel less like my self worth is dependant on being able articulate all the facts

having said that, i am an information junkie, especially on topics i have a passion for. smiley - biggrin
