Haylle (Nyssabird) ? mg to recovery Started conversation Jun 24, 2004
I just had a horrible day on and off the phone with the British Consulate. But I called a last time this afternoon and was told that we are getting our visas - we should get them on monday or tuesday. *starts crying again* I've *never* been so happy that I've cried over something, my my mind has completely checked out over this. Now it's just a plane ride between me and my Jamie.

Thanks!
I don't know, but as soon as is feasible! We might even make it in time for Jamie's birthday

Excellent news, though I suspect it means we won't see you as you rush through London as I'm out of the country 3/7 - 17/7
Oh well, such thigs are unimportant in the grand scheme of things, eh?

Give over Blicky. If we'd played better it wouldn't have been in the hands of the ref in the 89th minute.
We beat ourselves. Again...

What a relief this must be for you. I remember having to go back to Canada for my visa a few years ago in order to sort out my residency papers here and it was a total nightmare. After getting to Toronto I was told by the Spanish consulate that they weren't going to give me the visa after all - spent a week drinking and smoking my face off (yeah, I know). But in the end, at the final hour, those b*st*ards gave me the visa. Phew! I also cried.
Lots of luck with the move. At least now you can make happy plans!

Well, Blues, while you and SLG are here we can raise a glass of sangria (or whatever) and toast Nyss and Njan, wishing them all the best in their new life!

Aw, Blicky, that makes me happy
To be honest, Azahar, I won't feel completely jubilant about it until they are in my hands. Paranoid me .
Hard to say when we'll be getting over there. Almost certain not much after the 14th. Anyone know if you have to stop in London to go through immigration, or if you can do so in Edinburgh? It would be nice to fly to Scotland in as straight a fashion as possible. Sorry, but I've got beaucoup de luggage and 2 tots to try to get through multiple airports and customs and naps and bathroom breaks...oi. We're looking forward to what has been called, 'our adventure' though . The tiddle tids were most excited to hear today that we would be getting our 'special tickets' next week that will allow us to get our plane tickets. They want so badly to have something to count down. Joseph keeps telling me very seriously that he needs a number to work with because if the number of days is 4, then he'll count thus *joseph sticking up 4 fingers smiley*, but if it's 9, well, he'll need both hands. Important considerations!

I should think you would be able to fly directly to Scotland with a UK visa, but of course you need to ask TPTB first before you book your flight. Just in case.
And I don't think you are being paranoid, just feeling very cautious about celebrating until you have those suckers in your hot little hand. I know I'd be the same. Still, since the visas have been approved I doubt there will be any problems.
Oh, this is just too exciting!

Well, I know he can order breakfast in Spanish, Nyss. Other than that, unless he has been studying Spanish since last summer that is probably about it.
