Is it still tomorrow's yesterday?
TeaKay Posted Sep 5, 2004
It is. I'd go so far as to say /many/ things.
I've got a disturbing feeling that this is going to degenerate into a certain other post if we don't take things in hand right now...
Well, if the opportunity arises, I'll be sure to let you know. You'd be my first choice anyway, so an application is not needed.

*gets a to clean up the mess*
Python is good. There's nothing wrong with conversation degenerating into a scetch now is there? *spontaneously combusts*
We were talking about spontaneous human combustion in chemistry. Any idea how hard it was to keep a straight face?
Thankyou very much good doctor! It'll be a pleasure fighting evil green things with you

Not with *a* conversation, but *every* conversation's a bit obsessive...
Lol, we never did anything like that in chemistry. What did you talk about? How feasible it is? Possible mechanisms? Did you do a practical?
And it'll be a profound pleasure having you to fight evil green things with. And, of course, spend the odd day or two doing mutually acceptable activities of recreation.

Nout wrong with obsession... in healthy doses...
I was going to ask my teacher if we could do a practical on the subject, but since it was the first lesson I'd had with him, I thought it better to keep quiet for appearance's sake We're doing organic chemistry, and our teacher was trying to explain how we can be made of unstable carbon compounds and *not* combust.
Indeed... Do you know, your last comment left me spending the rest of yesterday afternoon pondering over what possible recreation activities Dr Who would do in his spare time.. My mind is a strange place to have to live, believe me.

That's just it... 'obsession', by it's very nature, is not a dose-by-dose thing. You always want MOORRREEEE.
Ah, interesting.
And what did you come up with? My mind is at least an equally strange place to reside, I assure you. We should get them together some time and see what happens.
On a completely unrelated note (I assure you), I'm reminded (somewhat randomly) of the comic relief Doctor Who story.... "You're the only companion I've ever had" / "But Doctor, you've hald LOADS of companions!" / "No, you're the only companion I've ever... /had/."

mooore.....must have moooore..... *ahem*
It wa quite. And I don't often say that about Chemistry.
I can't quite remember what I decided in the end.. although on reflection I really think Dr Who would probably play chess in his spare time, and maybe knit scarves. Feel free to disagree

Micheal moore?
Micheal moore, micheal moore, dum de dum de dum
Micheal Moore, Micheal Moore, de de de dee da
Steals from the rich, dum dee dee da,
Micheal Moore,
Dum dum daa,
Dee dee dum.
Why did you pick it then?
I'm sure he has lots of passtimes, and ability to try out new ones... anyway, if I was the Doctor, I'd get to relax in whatever way I deemed acceptable. Which would probably be something mutually acceptable with my assistant.

Oddly enough, "Michael Moore" popped into my head when I began writing that, but I couldn't for the life of me remember why. Now I know!
Steals from the poor and gives to the rich...
I wanted a science. I hate biology and I refuse to do maths. Chemistry was the only thing that fitted into my timetable. Not the best reason for choosing a subject, but hey..
Mutually acceptable is a good thing. New is also a good thing. So; crocheting scarves instead of knitting them?

It's a good sketch
Why do you refuse to do maths? And surely you could wangle physics somewhow. It's easily the best science!
I don't fancy either- I#ll leave things like that to my mum. What would you want to do if you were the Billie Piper to my Christopher Eccleston?

Indeedy "hand over all your lupins!"
I love physics dearly *sigh* I must have told you that I actually cried when I found out I couldn't take it? Thing is, I love RS more. They *had* to put the divide between my two very favourite subjects... Arrgh. The way I'm looking at that is thus; physics is likely to change somewhat in the next 10 years, what with searching for the Higgs particle and so on, so I'll do in many years in the future, and benefit from new learning
I really don't know. I should spend more time daydreaming about being a Dr Who character
What would you get up to?
Is it still tomorrow's yesterday?
TeaKay Posted Sep 11, 2004
Yeah, you did. It would be much easier to learn it all now, and then just top up on the new stuff later. You never know, it could have been you who found the Higgs particle (what is that, by the way?).
It was a sort of veiled "what do you like doing in your spare time/ what would you do if space, time and money weren't an issue?" question.
I'm not sure what I'd do. Lots of reading. Play computer games. Go to beer festivals and concerts. Visit new places. Explore. Etc.

Ah the Higgs particle...a physics red herring. I'm not terribly sure *exactly* what it's supposed to be, but I do know that if they actually found the damned thing it would make a unified theory of everything work. It's a bit like ani-matter and dark matter I guess.
Ahhh...
*thinks*
I still don't know. I'll pretty much go with anything withing reason, preferably with good company. But in normal circumstances I generally end up either reading or wasting time on video games. Or sewing. If space/time etc wasn't an issue, I'd probably wonder around randomly exploring the depths of the universe blah blah blah alien races blah.

TeaKay Posted Sep 11, 2004
Fair enough.
Sounds pretty similar to my preferences, apart from the sewing. But hey, we've got to have our alone time- constantly being around one another across the infinite tracts of space would start to grate after a while, I'm sure
