i dont like christmas cake, love christmas pudding
mince pies? only shop bought ones or my own, but only because there is more meat than pastry
my mums are too dry because she uses more pastry

I am inclined to believe that there are certain fractions that will go out of their way to do things just because they know it will severely

Going out for lunch sounds like a fun and fine time. Especially with the scintillating ideas the youngest member can introduce. 
I have a bit more house-work before I run away and hide in my office in the basement. The house will be over-taken by women, cosmetics and just way too much "girly-stuff".
Excuse my ignorance, please, ... what is gammon? Besides a board game.

I'll have to go googling, to see what corner or cut ... There's very few bits of beef or pork that I don't like. In fact, there are very few food substances that I don't like. The missus and I are REALLY looking forward to visiting parts of your world next year, and part of it is the different ways of doing foods. We're "daring".
