Well

I have had many different careers and that has been one of them - but I was not very good at it so moved to something linked which seems to suit me better but I dont think I will ever excel at parts of it. Getting others to be able to do an exceptional job is however where I seem to be effective smiley - erm As I say they sent me away from school ...

Oh and I meant to ask - what is at the end of your teather anyway? Is it something nice?

I've asked my boss for my job title to put on a form. He started with Office Manager and worked his way down to 'and whatever else'.

to be honest after yesterday I'm not sure if I'm anywhere near it.

Was in Birmingham conducting a training when I got a phone call from Scotts grandparents (who were looking after him) to say that he'd had accident and had hurt his arm smiley - yikes They had taken him to accedent and emergency. smiley - rolleyes another round of doctors.

So I bombed it doen the motorway to get back to Doncaster. When I got there it turns out the he'd thrown a tantrum and thrown himself on the floor and thats how it had happened. He was holding his arm as if he had dislocated his shoulder.

After a 2 and a half hour wait and lots of complaining from me to staff about keeping a child of scotts age waiting that long (the excuse was that because it was a shoulder injury he needed to see a doctor and not just a nurse and the doctors were busy with an emergency) we saw the doc who thought he may have damaged his collor bone and elbow, we went for xrays and there was nothing broken or out of place *sighs in releif* they think he just damaged the soft tissue there.

So I brought him home tucked him up in bed, rang Jack smiley - loveblush who relaxed me back down after all the worry.

Poor Scott! I hope he is starting to feel better and that you are not too frazzled.

You were in Birmingham?!? Do you go there often? I dont go as often as I used to but who knows maybe meeting up would be possible after all ...

It's odd how we spend so much time trying to make sure our children behave but when they're ill or hurt we're happy for them to be a brat again.. smiley - winkeye

He wasn't so bad while we were at the hosptial, he played nicely until his name was called then threw another fit because I made him get out of the little car he was driving. The he took another screaming heebee session when I had to take his t-shirt off for the doctor to look at him, but thats was probably because it hurt. It took ages to calm him down and then it started again when he got on the x-ray table. I had to wear this huge heavy apron and hold him still while the two radiogists ran behind their nice protective screen to take the xray smiley - yikes.

He was so tired after that he just didn't have the engery to cry at the doctor when we got called back into see him, after he'd had chance to look at the x-rays.
