Then I won't
I was wondering whether you could do me a favour [or probably my pride ] I was wondering if you could tell me what my poem is about?
I know it sounds silly, but I just wanted to make sure that the message is clear...

Hi Fred .
I hate it when people ask me to analyse their poems for meaning . Poetry, especially when it flows from within and only forms upon contact with the page, is often so personal a medium. Lacking the contextual landscape in which to put your words does make it almost impossible for me to find a road through it.
If I was to make a stab at this one I'd say it is a narrative of a discovery of a relationship to the divine nature of being (deep huh?).
Blessings,

Have to make you work Math!
Hmmm...I'll tell you what I intended and you tell me if it fits.
Don't ask me where the idea popped from...but it's about this two tier society, the first part are those who are literally higher than the second: who carry the first on their backs. The lower tier are downtrodden... again literally and have little worth.
Then, the lower stumbles and falls, and so does the higher.... they realise, clumsily that they are interdependent, and both the same... which relates to our society through the economic North and the economic South...
Does that come through?

Oh! I thought it was about love, humanity and harmony. I took a few re-readings to get the meaning you intended from it.
I got 4000 and I never even noticed it! I'll add this to my growing collection of significant posts... let's see... 2000, 4000...

Well they are kinda inter-related issues aren't they...
4000? I take it that's on the God thread...?
Incidently, there's a good Science vs Faith thread on 360...

Hi Fred .
I can see the message you were trying to communicate now you have framed the context. Not much good with the cryptic me .
And wherefore art this science vs. faith debate?

Nice one. I read your 'where it came from' reply and it put it in a new light. On first reading I saw it as two opponents on the battle field...actually quite liked it from that persepective. two people trying to claim the same ground then realising they are each others mirror, so why fight over the ground. Liked the bowman too, makes it timeless. Good work.
Take care
