The Tour de France is a BIG cycle race
Shame on you Cat, Shaun O'Grady and Robbie McEwen are from Australia, they are fighting over thhe Green Jersey
The Yellow Jersey is worn by the race leader, the one who is doing it in the shortest time
The Green Jersey is worn by the rider with the most points, you get points for sprints and for where you finish
The Spotted Jersey is worn by the 'King of the Mountains' points are awarded on mountain climbs, there are 2 mountain ranges on the course the Pyrennes and the Alps all everyone hhas to ride up these

All the 'Maillot Jaune Jack' and 'Maillot Verte' stuff. I don't speak French!! I know verte means green though... And what are the Pyrennes ?!

Ok, you just answered what the Pyrennes are, but still, that confused me. And all the Malliot stuff...

McEwens bum and the burger meat?
He fell off his bike and ripped a hole in his shorts and had a nasty graze on his bum

Oh Reefgirl,
How wonderful
Another lover of the Tour de France! I have loved it since I was a little girl seventy years ago and watched it from my grandparents home outside of aix-en-Provence.
Besides which you love cooking, crosstictch and taking pcitures. I hope we can be friends. could you not even get the people who were there to give us their h2g2 names so that we can know who the pictures represent. You took lots of Mr. B including his nose!!.
Hope to hear from you soon. Gosport? Where is that?
Kind regards

Thanks Reefgirl,
Wasn't the scenery in the Pyrenees absolutely wonderful?
Do you think Lance will do it again or will the young Frnchman win?
It's a problem though with the British Open also on at the same time!!
Kind regards

We have Sky so we can watch it on Eurosport
Lance Armstrong is to cycling what Michael Schmacher is to F1, of course he's going to win, but I think Vockler will keep the yellow jersey into the rest day but he will lose it to Armstrong in the Alps
Today's stage is on the flat and Armstrong is a climber so McEwen will extend his lead in the green jersey Vockler will keep the Yellow and no one can catch Virenque in the polka dot
The airial shots of Plateu de Beille were gorgous yesterday, it was really beautiful

Is anyone else suspicious as to why Armstrong was crap until they got to the Alps and how he climbed L'Alp d'Huez 1 second behind the fastest time ever
