I'm officially past it
Tonight at work I was chatting with a couple of co workers Sarah, my opposite number at work and Emma a young (very) lass who's just started. We were talking about music and Sarah mentioned she was going to see Westlife in Brighton next year, I said I'd got tickets to see Bon Jovi, Emma clicked her tongue and said "Is he still alive then?"
Jon Bon Jovi is about 5 or 6 years older than me
I've fancied him for 20 years

Last week, in our smoking area, somehow the original Star Trek came up. One lad mentioned that his Dad had told him about it. But as his Dad was soooo young when it came on. Turns out, this "co-worker" of mine had a Dad a full year younger than ME !!!
Girl, you've ages to go before you are old.

Sho - employed again! Posted Nov 19, 2005
I have a co-worker with whom I have a lot in common musically, and what we do for fun (beer racing, rock festivals etc). I have a lot in common with her mum: woodwork, knitting, sewing etc. I go ice skating with both of them.
It's strange though, I'm almost exactly 10 years younger than the mum, and old enough to be my colleague's mum! and at the same time.
As for Bon Jovi - I was telling another of my (much younger) coworkers about when I went to see them in 1987 (?) on the Slippery When Wet (or possibly the one after?) tour. It was in a tiny tiny venue and you could practically reach out and stroke his (poodle) hair. We're arranging to go to the gig together. At the same time I'm arranging to go to see Robbie Williams with the first girly (up there) her mum and my kids.
So, I guess... you're never really young or old. Just how you fee. (of course, I act about 12 most of the time anyway, so what do I know)

my mam, always used to say "act your age", so I said, do I have to act something different every birthday then??, I followed up with "its no act, its me". Age don't mean a thing to me, I've acted daft, since being knee high to a grasshopper, why change perfection, just co's I'm now 55

I cant wait to be old. You can give out to everyone about anything, insult people to their face and laugh out loud at random.
God I'm going to be a horrible grumpy old man.
*dances a happy jig*
Besides Westlife suck arse, and Jovi is allright, sadly I'm not really into the old power ballad routine, but yet again westlife suck arse.
