h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

... of the journal a day thingy.

I've found it a bit of a task really and disappointingly only really posted reflections of my days - which was really boring for any readers but will now serve me as a permanent reminder of Nov 11.

All told it's been a busy month for me and it's ended more or less as it began with me being sick.

In the quiet moments this month I've been reading some things on site and some of it is quite alarming. I haven't really been posting but as an outsider for all of the conversations here it's really easy to see that not all the changes since Auntie Beeb left are for the better.

I've been shocked - yes, actually shocked to see people I 'know' and number among my friends being downright rude in their posts and I can't really grasp why. Manners seem to have been left back at the beeb for a lot of people and that too is disturbing. I won't add my thoughts on the decision to name moderators or on some of the moderation decisions but the quicker this site is settled the better.

I don't think it's a good idea to be advertising for new blood or inviting people in until the dust has well and truly settled and by the looks of things that could be some time.

I'm not sure how much I will be participating in the coming month due to health, work and panto commitments but I will be watching in the quiet moments and hope that some sort of 'normal' service will be resumed.

Oh no McKay, nobody has been rude to me - at least I don't think so. If they have it has completely passed me by so it was a waste of rudeness then.

Now that I think of it I'm not even sure the rudeness was directed at anyone I 'know' but it was there all the same.

I don't mind people being honest and forthright or even opinionated - I quite like that really but there's a way to state your forthright, honest opinion without being just plain rude.

As far as I'm aware McKay you haven't been rude to anyone - unless you'd like to point me in the direction of some evidence to the contrary - I could also become your personal stalker and mind your manners for you.

I expect in a couple of months these journals will be at the back of the list of journals and only the most intrepid explorer will ever find them.

By then it'll all be a memory and some 'new' epic tale of woe will be filling my thoughts.

Oh lil, you wouldn't believe the week I've had. So bad I'd have needed Hoggy to do some analysis.

I can only recall being this sick twice in my life but I am beginning to feel better and managed to take my steroids and anti-biotics today - and more importantly keep them down!

Poor love

If you haven't been keeping your antibiotics down you might need to have a top-up, don't take risks with your health

My health is shot to hell - I've all but given up in work and am past caring.

I'd only taken one days worth of meds before getting really sick so hope that a 6 day course will be as effective as a 7 day course.


Anyway, enough about me - how have you been? I read somewhere that you had an appointment today.
