Birthday parties
Saturnine Started conversation Mar 18, 2003
So, my little cousin (Jacob) has his second birthday party next week, and for some reason I am finding myself deciding to go up to London (with my mother *whooo*) for the weekend for his party.
Yes folks, the highlight of my life *is* indeed a two year olds birthday party.
But I figure that there will be cake and hopefully alcohol (plus something *else*) and I get to see my family (the good, non-inbred parts that know how to behave in social settings) and eat decent food...so it's not all bad.
*sigh*
Also means two nights without net access (Friday/Saturday/get home on Sunday)...which is a bit depressing because I love all the people I talk to...but for the sake of cake, I can live.

Well. I figure I will just sit in the corner and be the weird relative. Hopefully they will feed me. And I will steal beer.

What flavour cake? I doubt it's probably *really* worth missing out on talking to us for two days for.
Mind the pollution now, won't you?

Chris, how do you manage to still stay AWOL, even though I am on the net now?
Chocolate cake hopefully.

That's just me. I'll add you to my M$N list then. Do you have M$N Me$$enger? You should, it comes with windows usually. Ugly piece of software that it is...
*wants to place a hitchhikers quote here, but decides not to as he can't think of one he can call better over any of the others. *

I hope it's not *just* cake. As an adult at a childrens' party you are entitled to:
1. jelly (that's jello to any visiting Americans)
2. little open sandwiches (I particularly like the egg ones, but I'm a little odd)
3. balloons
4. cake, of course
5. a splitting headache
I feel the jelly is particularly important, you can't have a kids' birthday party without jelly, it's just not on. As a minimum there should be red and orange jelly, but green is always a welcome bonus.
Of course the alcohol goes without saying - how else are you going to survive the lil darlings?
Enjoy!

Nope. I am going to be the cool cousin with purple hair that listens to her walkman with the volume turned waaaaaay up, eats lots of snack food, and reads various obscene looking books.
No hats shall be involved.
