... thus providing opportunity for the mighty Charlton Athletic to beat your little steeltown in the league four times in one season ...

If it's steeltowns you aspire to beating, then don't forget there's Scunny in there too. The authentic Irons, not the ones reliant on illegal immigrants.
Q : Why is the Chamionship like a wireless cionnection?
A : No Leeds

I told myself that, this week of all weeks, I wasn't going to get upset over United's inevitable appeal failure.
And, yep, it still p*ssed me off.
In some ways, fair game to West Ham. They played well those last few games. The only trouble is, they only played one team with anything to lose in that stretch - and the Blades beat them 3-0.
The real trouble, then, is the big boys who don't bother to turn up in the run in. The main culprits are Liverpool (irredeemable, of course, quite apart from the football) and Man Utd (possibly not beyond salvation, and certainly resident in a Pinnacle of Civilisation compared with the Scice).
Henceforth, it would be rather good if half the Premiership money was given out according to a league table based on the last five games. Or alternatively, the a few million could be held back from the eventual top five clubs and shared out among any relegated teams they contrive to lose to.
I could suggest some unnatural punishments for Benitez and Ferguson too, but I'd only get yikesed.

Please don't sentence them to 7 years Transportation to Oz, Pinniped...
We have got Beckham's new team, LA Galaxy, playing here against Sydney FC later this year. I might go if the tickets are not too expensive.
