I've an interview and written test at UCL on Monday. I'm actually more excited than I was before Oxford - it's further to travel, and I always enjoy a trip to the capital!

A couple more visits to London and I was much, much happier about it all. I've now filled out my accomodation application - my parents are being great and will fund my living costs entirely provided I show myself to be watching my money - so naturally I've stated a preference for an expensive intercollegiate Hall.
I'm feeling really positive about the whole thing - a big concern for me was that London might be too anonymous - especially after attending the interview, where I met no-one else, walked straight in off of the street and through a building site to get to the department. However, with the opportunities provided by two large student unions, and a bar and other shared facilities in the Halls. Also on the plus side, the English Dept. itself is far smaller than Leeds.
And Leeds 2nd because of the grade offers, and because I'd still be really happy if I ended up there.
