" Since this is my journel and i can write any thing i like i will now induldge myself."
A warm breeze washs upon my face, i lie under a tree whose shade has fallen on these grounds for two centuries. In that state half way between sleep and awake the scent of honeysucle intoxicates me. I hear the laughter of children and the sounds of spring. Famliy and friends picnic on the field that surrounds the majestic giant beech. Wild flowers in full bloom gently sway as cotton candy clouds lazily pass over head. I drift to sleep.
"Guess i better keep the day job"

Took your advice and had some coffee and a slice of cake er... maybe 2 slices but they were small. I think it is time to take off the black for mourning the passing of one and put on the colors of the rainbow for the million's he touched. smile

I ussually do not use chat's or bb because i am so busy with my work and the infinite moron's who inhabit them. This site I must say though is as far as i can tell used by very polite, intelligent people from all over the world. I have met several very smart people with actual manner's you being one of them. It is a pleasure conversing with you. One can never have enough friends.{please excuse typo's I have become addictted to spell checks and my once focused mind has turned to mush or at the very least that drinkable yogurt.

Awww... *warm fuzzies* That really makes my day.
Trust me, I wouldn't have been here for almost two years if I didn't think the people were friendly, helpful, and generally intelligent. (I get enough of the opposite at school). So I'm glad you're enjoying your time here!
And too many net friends is never bad... especially since we all need a little biased support once in a while.

Yep, this is a great place... during the time of n2g2 ("nowhere to go to", when h2g2 was being taken under the Beeb's wing) I missed talking to all my friends here, even though I had the emails of a few of them. It wasn't quite the same.
Some nights I stay on long past the time I need to get to bed... just because people are actually online and it makes talking so much easier. Obsessive? Me?! Never...

Over 300 channels on my satt. and i still can't find anything to watch talk about spoiled. I don't want to date myself but i remember when i was a kid all we had was a antenia on the roof and 3 station's {maybe} And then when we would walk to school for over 12 miles the snow drifts would be 42 feet high, winds blowing at 60 mph. You got 1 chunk of bread and a smidge of cheese. we had one coat to share between three us. Then there would be the pencil one pencil a year
no exceptions.

Hmmm... sounds like one of the horror stories my parents would tell me to get me to stop complaining when I was younger...

Busted, Actually that is what my parents used to tell me to. I see you are going to be entering college from your web site. I envy you, I never went to college i started my company about a year or so out of school but I always regreted not going. Although, my best friend attended Uconn and I spent so many weekeds up there I was adopted by his dorm. To this day some of those people think I went there. One piece of advice "Balance" between social & academics. {sorry to sound like a parent but i can't help myself i am one} both are importent.

Ah, 'tis okay, I need all the advice I can get. (theory is that if I hear enough, *some* will make it though my thick skull...). Anyway, I really can't wait to get to college... it'll be nice to not have to deal with my family all the time (as much as I love them, lately they've really been getting on my nerves), and hopefully a lot of fun. And maybe I just might learn something. The whole balance type of thing I'm actually pretty good at... though I find that if one doesn't take time for oneself (ie, locking yourself in a room and reading a book for the heck of it) that balance does nothing...

You will do just fine i can tell by talking to you. your parents should be proud they did a good job in raising you. you might not believe it now but about the second day when your settled in a college it is going to hit you that your homesick. Remember it is notthe destination that is importent but the journey. Have a great journey!!

Oh, don't tell me that I'll be fine, I'll get cocky... . I'll tell my parents that someone thinks they did a decent job... hehe.
Odd thing about homesickness... I've never been homesick in my life--not the normal way, anyway. I never actually miss *places*, just people. So people are home to me... and specific people more homelike than others. For example, the one person I consider home is actually on the other side of the Mississippi at the moment; he's my best-friend-but-not-quite-boyfriend-(yet) who's a US Marine stationed in Arizona. I figure if I can deal with that kind of homesickness, I'll be fine a few hours away from home at college.

I am sure you will be fine and you are right "Home is where you hang your Hat". Best of luck with your marine I was 16 when I met my wife. 17 when we were engaged and 28 when we were married. I believe in long engagements. Decade miniumum LOL.

! It'd be quite nice if Erich and I ever got together... but I don't find it likely since I'll be at college the next four years, he gets out of the service in three so it'll be quite a stretch to even see each other for these next few years. I figure that if we're supposed to be anything more than friends, it'll happen and no amount of conspiring on my part can change the speed of it happening. And if not, well, I know God's got some guy that's even better than him for me (though, to be truthful, that'd be hard to find...).
