So as I said before, I was coming down here (Ft Lauderdale, FL) for a month to try out a job, I have decided to take the job...the reason I am an idiot is they offered me a promotion and some extra money to come down here...me being the savvy guy I am didn't take the first offer 
...they asked me how much I was looking for so I just said a number that popped into my head...the reason I am an idiot is they just said ok...I should of had a larger number pop into my head...why must I be reasonable in my demands

yes, well the good thing is, due to company policy I couldn't go up two levels at once, only one, so this time next year I will be able to go up another level, that means at least another automatic 10% so I will be a be able to better negotiate at that time hopefully

this isn't that type of job pauly...this is my civi job
I am doing Sat work for cruise lines and yachts and such, I think a few non Marine instalations come up from time to time also
The best part is, I have to go to where the ships are, so if they are having a problem off the coast of Spain, I have to go to Spain and so on

ya it's a rough life but somebody has to do
I figure with my other job comes the posibility of travel to locations that are not as nice so it all balances out nicely

Tac, I don't understand what you mean by Sat work. Does that stand for Saturday? If so, how do you get to a ship Spain, fix it, and then get back to your other job by Monday?

Amy, I think *most* of the larger cruise ships would have a dicy time maneuvering in the Sacramento River.
