Firstly, because it is a fast and furious source of news.
Secondly, it's well written and in a style that appeals to slightly cynical curmudgeons such as myself.

I don't know how I missed that headline today. I read the Reg every day (mostly in the vain hopes that Simon has updated the BOFH files) and I missed this one.
