Drat. Caught in a lie. Indeed, I am not Nick A. But Nick A. is a great guy, and I want to be just like him when I grow up to be 38 in December. My dad went to the Newark Institute of Technology (now NJIT), but that was after serving in Korea and getting married and having kids, etc.
I've never had pink eye either!

My Hubby graduated from NJIT. He's almost as old as I am. And he's on his way home from Bahrain as I type.

I get pink eye every time I go into a hospital for any reason.
And my late ex-husband dropped out of Aston University, which was Aston Polytechnic at the time. But I did know a Nick A.; he came to the wedding.
I can't wait to hear what other questions Colleen has.

I can't wait to find out if the Magnolia Ice Cream Parlour is still there. She did say she lived in Singapore didn't she?

I went to UVM but dropped out after two semesters. My father went to Yale but dropped out after two semesters. I wonder what my child will do...

Maybe give it the old college try?
I had pink eye two Christmases ago in both eyes. It was awful. I was at our office Christmas party, minding my own business, when pus started leaking out of my eyes. It took two weeks to clear up. To make matters worse I also contracted bronchitis and influenza at the same time. It was the holiday season from Hell.

The only Nicks I know are the one on my leg from shaving, and the guy in either N Sync or the Backstreet Boys.......
My father didn't go to college. Neither did my mother for that matter. I am apparently making up for that by never getting out of college!!
Colleen, dear, my age is irrelevant. And not to be rude or anything, but how did you get here, anyway?

I know a Nick K, but not a Nick A.
I dropped out of SLCC after one quarter.

Sorry, can't resist.
I know a Nick A who went to Aston University, and I'm still in touch with him and his second wife!

*waves to other delurkers*
I'm 46 and 10/12ths.
And a grandma.
And I don't know a Nick either. Except Saint Nick, but then I would, wouldn't I?
My father was a dental technician {he made false teeth} before the WW11.
He was drafted into the Army, and when he was on leave he married my mother in haste.
Not that it was a shorgun wedding, just that they were shipping him to Normandy the following week....
They're still married, 60 and a quarter years now.
I'm so glad they met and married.
My dad still has the bullet in his lung from when he was shot.
It's too deeply embedded to be operated on and removed.
They told him in 1943 that if he coughed hard, he'd die.
He's now 84 and still trying not to cough.
Colleen, I hope you find your Nick -

/* waves to all the lurkers and delurkers alike */
/* also waves to Colleen and Nick A and all the other Nicks known to exist. */
Which makes me wonder, how many people named Nick are reading this thread? And how many are active researchers, and how many are known to Archangel Galaxy Babe? This could spawn another statistical project.

After racking my brain for a few seconds, I was able to remember that I went to high school with a Nick. But he was a Y. I hope that helps, Colleen.
