The wheel turns.
It's nearly three and a half years now since I arrived here. My motives weren't entirely random.
The wheel turns.
But something isn't the same anymore. I don't feel the urge to post as much as I did, and I don't have the time anyway.
The wheel turns.
I'm not leaving. There are still things I want to write, both for the Post (yes Shaz, I *am* still alive. I'm trying to get a Rock Around The Clock column together), and there are things I still want to write for the Guide (I am very aware for example that my Blues Project has gaping holes which are only correctable by further guide entries on some of the individuals that I had to leave out of the Project).
The wheel turns.
I'm spending more and more of my time here - http://www.thedevilsmusic.f2o.org/forum/ , a really nice little blues community with a thousand members, from all over the world. I feel the same way about that now that I did in the old days about HooToo.
The wheel turns.
So I'm re-setting my homepage. Maybe by being here less I can re-kindle the enthusiasm I once felt for this place. It doesn't help that I can talk to most of the fantastic friends I have made either on msn, or in real life, or by text. Some of you have even let me spend time in your homes and lives, which i am grateful for beyond reason. Somehow, though, that gives meless reason to be here, rather than more.
The wheel turns.

It does make sense. Our lives are constantly changing - if we're lucky! Your life has gone through quite a bit of change recently and it sounds like more changes will be coming up soon. It's all very positive, don't you think?
As for here, well, it's like all relationships, isn't it? But I'm very happy that I can still have msn chats with you when you have time.

You mean there is another version of 'Hazy Shade of Winter'?
I'm quite happy with things at the moment, so no, this isn't a negative.

regretfully, i feel more or less the same. i've thought about looking for another community, i think at some point i even did look, but what i did run across was completely asinine. Also, there's that emotional pull this site has for me personally. i dunno. i wish i didn't suck and wasn't intimidated by james' irc stuff. he keeps saying i could hang out there but i'd just feel like a dumb*ss amongst all those proper geeks. sorry..
i don't mind if you don't post much blues, so long as you promise to let me harrass you irl on a regular basis once i cross the pond

Of course you can, and like I said, I'm not goinfg away from here, there's still stuff I want to do.
But the infighting and the slanging matches and all the rest of the nonsense just wears me down.

Know what you mean about all the fighting... It does get tiresome.
Be sorry that you wont be around quite so much Blues... I always enjoy listening to what you have to say in the "issue" type threads and elswhere.

No time for posting at work due to no staff to cover annual leave or sickness was one of the reasons for my decision to drop my involvement for a bit.
Sorry...
