In the Filmhouse bar:

Everyone else: "What?"
Me: "A trailer for 'Dolls'!"
Everyone else: "What?"
Me: "The new Takeshi Kitano film, it must be out soon!"
Everyone else: "What?"
Me: "Oh, forget it..."
So I'm not aure if I'll be able to rustle up company for that. However, my flatmate's girlfriend is a big fan of Takeshi Miike, so I'll have someone to go and see that with. Hurrah!

I know that feeling Gonzo- It came watching the last season of League of Gentlemen- I laughed, the rest of the pub was silent and confused.

Ed had recovered suffiently last night to drink beer and admit that 'It was very strange film'.
Good old Ed. He's normally pretty robust but I think that one shook him...Still, I'm sure he'll be well enough to see Battle Royale II in due course.
Next up for me is The Secretary, I think. Probably end up seeing *that* on my own.

Oh no, the secretary is almost mainstream. A Hollywood S&M comedy with Maggie Gylenhaal and James Spader (and you knew if there was a film abouut a sexual deviant he'd be in it, didn't you?)

That actually sounds like a lot of fun- I'm sure you won't have trouble finding someone to see that with- I'll have to check out Metro cinema- sounds right up their street....

You'd be surprised how difficult it might be to find someone to go and see that with, actually, especially in my neck of the woods.
Still, I don't mind the cinema on my own.
