Malabarista - now with added pony

In a sudden attack of spring cleaning, Yarreau has made the kitchen all shiny, so we thought we'd photograph it while it lasted smiley - whistle

I've still not gotten around to doing the missing panels and trim and painting the doors, but since I have a paper to write, I don't think I'll have time until I get back from my Uk/Ireland trip.

Sooooo... This is what the kitchen looks like now, starting here:

That looks really good! Thanks for posting more pictures.

I will say that the German habit of moving the kitchen with you is one of the odder ones, IMHO.

I'm glad you all like it - we certainly do smiley - somersault Finally, a kitchen with ROOM - to move in and to put things away. Yay!

And I agree. Taking the kitchen with you is a very silly habit!

smiley - wow What an improvement!

Is this kitchen-moving habit something typically German? Anyone doing this here in the Far North would be considered smiley - thief.

Dishwashers and washing machines however are not always part of the standard equipment in flats, so you might have to provide them yourself. On the other hand there is "always" a shared facility for washing clothes available.

I think if I saw that kitchen somewhere I'd want one just like it... smiley - winkeye
It turned out incredibly nice, sometimes I wasn't sure about the bold colour scheme, but it worked out very well in the end. smiley - somersault

I am totally smiley - envy of your goregous kitchen. We have a tiny galley kitchen, and a quite big open-plan living room/dining area (separated by our stairs which go up the middle of the house.

smiley - chef has seen your pictures and started mumbling about making our dining room into the kitchen and the kitchen into a walk-in pantry.

smiley - yikes

Yes, it is typically German - I've never heard of it happening elsewhere. But my last landlord even threatened not to refund my deposit if I didn't take the kitchen with me! smiley - doh

Sounds like a good plan, Sho. What's stopping you? smiley - evilgrin
