True, it looks a bit like a metronome
Sho, my birthday was Monday, but the party's this Sunday. Lucky thing, too, still need to tidy up.

I didn't realise it was up for grabs. I'd have offered to buy it if I did!
(But before I put a bid in - that slightly ominous looking on/off switch definitely controls the alarm clock and nothing else. Doesn't it?!)

Let's put it like this - if it had crossed any borders, I'm sure Customs would be blowing it up to be on the safe side

First of all
Happy Birthday Mala
(sorry for being late in that)
Second:
keep the present by all means
one reason: you can show it to your kids (if you ever will have any, if not - show it to your nephew and nieces) to tell them about their granddad
second reason: keep it as reminder, so you know what kind of presents one gives when having passed a certain age

The cow bell is a very calming noise and also the cowbell is one of my hall-mark things; I try to have at least one cowbell, sometimes twenty or more featured in my recordings

mum also said it is a nice present, she also said something like she pities your dad because he certainly meant well.

That's an... interesting... clock.
Maybe the scary beady eyes on the plastic goat are there to make you leap out of bed just to escape it's field of vision.

I just cleared a space for it on the shelf in the bathroom, right under the flying pig and next to the orange plush dog with the sunglasses
Bathroom's back to its former glory now

Happy birgthday, Mal!
(bit late, sorry!)
Yeah, but what if the goat doesn't want to make friends with the pig and the dog?
You know, when I read the description, I thought it was a pyramid with stairs, like the precolumbian things... I think it would have looked better that way. Maybe you could tell your dad, so he'll make another one for your sister! (I think you said her birthday was ing somewhere round the corner....?)
Well, at least, it wasn't a puppet made of seashells...

A puppet made of seashells?
My father's made my sister one already. And is currently visiting her to give it to her, poor thing

Well, my auntie made one of those sand-painting-thingies for my mum once, and it was rather ugly too...
It's now in the hallway, just next to the entrance door, so that you don't generally see it (good thing!).
Anyway, my Auntie was into sand-painting-pictures, and she was asking all the people that were present at the party if they liked it, etc...
Lucky I could answer I only had a very small flat, and that I would probably move a lot in the next few years!!
By the time I've really settled down, she'll have found another hobby. Hopefully nothing artistic, though...

I'd bid at least 100 Euros for it contempory, artistic, modern, post modern, hints of the ancient, and very very very weird, what could one possibly not like about it?; And to top it all a goat and a cowbell

Would you have a spare bit of tinsel you could put around it?
I think it would be just lovely!
... wouldn't it?
