Well this is my first journal entry and as it is all consuming i've decided that maybe keeping this may help me get some more of an understanding of whats going on within my own head. Im not naive to the fact that i have severe depression and anxiety which is possibly been a contributing factor to the questions that are now being asked over whether i have bipolar disorder. I am wondering though if bipolar disorder is genetic? I dont think from what i have read up that there is any definitive link between genetics but my grandfather was sectioned many many years ago with depression when it wasnt as well understood and under went electric shock treatment!! When i discussed with my father (whos dad was my grandfather who had been sectioned) he felt bad about what was happening with me and wondered if it had been his side that had caused whats been up with me all my life. I reassured him that it was unlucky really just to pacify him and you cant undo whats been done- you are how you are you cant change your genes can you (well not back when we were born anyway lol!) There is also depression on my mothers side and she suffers quite badly from it also. Well all i can do is continue on from day to day hoping that when i wake i will be in a good state of mind and not want to spend all day in bed. Im awaiting my psychiatrist appointment when hopefully whats 'wrong' with me will be diagnosed or decided and i can get the help and correct medication that is needed. As it is i think my body and mind have become used to the meds that i am on now.
Anyways onwards and upwards is my motto!! I dont really like the onwards and downwards that can consume more time than the upwards.
I hope everyones well today and that there is some sunshine wherever you may be smiley - smiley

Thank you chocophile! I really love the reeces pieces bars that you guys have. I have found 1 place in my home town that sells them and i love them!!
I had a great weekend thank you, i over-did it a little bit with the wine but nothing a good sleep couldn't cure. Hope you had a great weekend also xxsmiley - smiley

Thank you Maria smiley - smiley I hope i get my diagnosis soon. They drag their feet where i come from, they are certainly arent in any hurry, its bad the way they deal with mental health where i'm from. Even if your diagnosed with bipolar by a psychiatrist and given medication you still have to go through seperate channels to get psycho-therapy. You have to have a completely different assessment and then they can take upto 9 months to decide whether or not this is something they are willing to offer you- and this is even if you are diagnosed and being medicated!! I dont know if this is standard practice the world-round but regardless it all sounds backwards to me :-S
Anyways Maria i hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoy your Easter holidays also. I've already told my parents that even at 26 im not too old for a Thorntons Easter Egg lol! xxsmiley - smiley

I've had the reece's, they Are quite-peanut butter & smiley - choc is certainly a good combination! Being just across the border in Canada, So many American products are sold here. The other smiley - alewas Canadian though, a Spiced Reserve Ale from http://www.treebeer.com/home.phpsmiley - smiley

Yes I have tried actual British Cadbury's. There was a local sweets merchant http://www.carolsqualitysweets.com had a shop in my area - she imported a number of British sweets. Unfortunately a nieghbouring business had a fire which eventually destroyed a number of adjoining businesses. So of course they've relocated, to another areasmiley - erm. Now I get http://www.kerstinschocolates.com when I can.

Yes is was an older structure housing a number of smaller shops. The very sad fact is that one was a pet shop - exotic pets(snakes, lizards, etc), tragic nonetheless.

Cadbury's is quite good...& I believe I might've tried a Galaxy bar, also nice. Yes smiley - laugh we're talking ourselves into a smiley - choc craving smiley - laugh. I think I'll satisfy mine with a belgian Zero bar, an import that has been available here for years.

I definitely will have to visit Carol's again after reading this today http://www.vueweekly.com/article.php?id=14687 (I do know where the new shop is). I just thought that since i'd mentioned her shop before, you might be interested in reading it as well. smiley - smiley
