h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Just updated main meet page (though will probably update again soon once I've more stuff about the afternoon goings on), and updated the atendee page... still time to sign up you lazy lot

Thus far it looks like myself and a couple of others will be appearing at the Shakespears head at approx 12 or 1 PM Saturday, with the editors turning up about 5 PM, and th others I guess about then or some time after; the afternoon event is being organised by MMF and I don't have much info on that yet, but I guess those who aare doing that have found the relivent conversations... err I'm not sure where they is

Bah. Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of my first ever h2g2 meet, so I would definitely be there if it wasn't for the lack of money or a babysitter.

Fringe completed. Five attendees. Multi-national with Icy North, Alex Ashman and Bald Bloke representing the UK, Stunning Frenchie, France (the clue is in the tag and Bel for Germany. I was the of indeterminate origin.

A good night and now ready for the Meet proper. Just for good

Its 1300 hr at tate modern 2nd floor cafe in the afternoon then SH pub holborn in the evening, yes?

yep, I think that is about right; some of us will be in the shakespears head earlier; at the moment I think* I'm feeling better so I'll probably aim to get to the shakespears head early afternoon some time, either about 3 PM or 2 PM depending which train I get into London

Sad isn't it, that due to the fact that NOT a single solitary h2g2 researcher realised that I had "disappeared" that I actually have lost the chance of meeting friends at this meet. Not only that, but even "My Space" disappeared from my index at the side when I tried to come and explain during my "disappearance.

Ah Me. ! Ah my. such is the youthful approach to AGEISM

Darn it!.

Don't you realise that you are into your eighties and should not be able to still think, and enjoy life and be interested in others?

Perhaps this is the time for me to say Au revoir, and leave you to the tender mercies of the younger researchers across the Channel.

With much affection and grateful and warm thanks to all of you who have helped, cared for and shown me so much affection over the nearly ten years since I have been a researcher.

I hope that kindness will continue to be a marvellous attribute of this website when you are nearly 82......

I was going to have a virtual party but shall now desist from that pleasure.
