h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I just shot two absolutely terribly atrocious cards, made worse by the fact that I was shooting for the instructor in a competition because he can't use his trigger finger (took a large chunk out of it with a 20lb sledgehammer), I've got coursew*rk due in first thing tomorrow which I still have to do loads to, an exam first thing tomorrow, difficult maths homew*rk due in after that, I've got five bars of chocolate I shouldn't have due to a mix-up someone made packing stuff I'd just bought in a shop into a bag for me, and I can't get back there for ages to return them, so I've got to pay for them, and I think I'm going to have to really cut down my time online. If you hadn't guessed by now, I'm somewhat p**sed off.
S**t s**t s**t.

And don't anyone try to make me feel better.

The exam went well, I got the right answer for the practical bit, but didn't do so well in the other sections of it. I shouldn't have got too bad a mark, though. I hope. The coursew*rk I got done, the homew*rk I haven't. Ah well. And I think I really am going to have to cut down my online time...

Ever since I was ten, mum's been nagging me to to get a job. That's seven years she's been at it. Now I've got three jobs, and she's having a go at me about it. I can't win!

I'm 54, and I have a job that severely
limits the amount of fun I can have.
There's always a shortage of *something*
in my workplace: staff, time, printer paper,
time, cellophane tape, time, staples, staff
(ha ha! you thought I was going to say "time"
again, didn't you! ) space,
etc., etc.

Being a grownup isn't pretty.

And I don't know any more about life,
the universe, and everything than people
who are just starting out in life.

I forgot to not react to Ming's instructions.

Ming, I would feel bad about trying to make
you feel *worse* than you already do. And
you've banned me from trying to make you
feel better. So, that only leaves making
you feel the same way you already do. That's
a no-brainer: I will just leave you alone.
