I had to perform a presentation to about 100 people about my Young Enterprise company. Scary!

*Scratches head, wondering if this topic isn't just slightly similar to the one she just answered...*
Fear of becoming boring (and spamming o.c.) I think we ought to halt this like of topic and discuss something even more... insane!!!
I can't think of one either but never mind!
And now for something completely different *one portion of IE's brain goes into full-blown Monty Python mood while the other 1. tries to resist the temptation and 2. mentally does the YMCA instead.* [Don't know why; ask it!]
What shall we talk about *that was another, tiny bit of brain making an entrance...*

Ummm... errrr... I don't know... Monty Python?

*screams ARGH, jumps up and down, runs around in little circles, jumps up and down again, twists ankle, hops up and down instead, gets tired, stops, pants, growls, coughs from growling and sighs.*
In other words: I know why the topic seemed similar to the one I'd just answered. It *was* the one I'd just answered. No wonder!
That's what happens when you have too many windows open: you loose track.
Might as well change the discussion anyway. Monty Python: Could do, could do! Sounds a little similar to the other one (Mad Mystery Guest Answering From The Deep Void...), but we could quote another sketch!!!
"Hello Miss. I wish to register a complaint..."
"I wish to complain about this parrot, what I purchased not half an hour ago from this very boutique."

Jon Quixote: steaming little purple buns for tea. Posted Apr 28, 2001
Hello I'm bounder of adventure.
Hello I'm smoke too much.
Well you better cutdown a little then.
I'm sorry?
Well you better cutdown a little then.
Oh I see "smoke too much" so " i'd better cut down a little then"
Yes I expect you get people making jokes like that all the time.
No, I've never noticed it before.

3: Monty Python, Douglas Adams and Dire Straits. (And Pizza Express pizzas but that would just be advertising!)
Life wouldn't be the same without those 3!

I was brought up on Asterix and Obelix, Tom and Jerry, Monty Python, Douglas Adams and Flanders and Swann (and The Beatles). Unfortunately I was never allowed to stay up late enough to watch any Monty Python, so I wasn't really brought up on it...
And if you've never heard of Flanders and Swann, you have missed out. Theres a guide entry somewhere on them, and you can apparantly get a CD of their stuff in HMV (and this isn't advertising! ), but ever since I found that out I have't been near a HMV to get one...

Ah! Asterix and Obelix, that takes me back! I collected almost all of them, you know! *Cowers in the corner from her sadness*.
I actually did a whole page of my last AS art project on them actually! Good isn't it!
The good good comment echoed here too!

*drags IE out of her corner and demands to see all her books*
I had to make do with what the library and school had... not much.
Your whole project? WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!
What did you do? Come on, I want all the (gory?) details!!!

Yeah! *Gets them all out of her handy satchel (Ford Prefect style) and places them in the middle of the room.*
Ta da!
It was all about conflict and I looked at the 'comic portrayal of conflict' so... Asterix was the obvious choice!
