Yes, Alsace was French until we lost the war in 1870, when it became German, then became French again after WWI, and still is (...for now...).
They have very nice wines (so say people who like wine, anyway), and really good food too.

It's going fine, I'm slightly fed up right now because I haven't had a holiday since May, but I'm off for 2 weeks starting Friday, so I'm pretty sure I'll survive.

It was a nice day, I didn't do much really, but met up with friends for dinner on the day, and took cake to work this week.

As I've written elsewhere, if we're terrified, they've won. can't let that happen. Which is why we still went to that lunch today, for example. Still scared, but not letting that stop us.

I'm not going to seek out other people to meet up with (there are spontaneous meetings in most towns), because I'm very much afraid of crowds at the best of times, but I'm not going to barricade myself home. No, Sir.
