WEll said, toybox. I think it takes a site like hootoo, and having been a member for as many years as me, for a non-native speaker to relax about what they *know* is wrong grammar. I still usually say 'whether' in the right context, although all and sundry say 'if'. smiley - laugh

Not a thoroughly bad outcome this time, either.

Stunners -

I had hoped you had a film called The Wizard of Oz in France.

In it, a girl called Dorothy (Judy Garland) gets caught up in a whirlwind in Kansas and lands in Munchkin Land. Her only hope of getting home lies in The Emerald City, where the Wizard of Oz lives. The film is mostly about her travels along the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City, accompanied by various characters, and obstructed by the Wicked Witch of the West. Made in about 1944. It's a film made from a children's book, and is in a children's idiom, but it's one of the most popular films (not just for children) of all time. See it if you get the chance - I love it.

My point was she'd never have reached the Emerald City without persistence.

Sorry for using a reference you don't know.

The film with Judy Garland as Dorothy is beautiful.
I'm sure you know the song: Somewhere over the rainbow? smiley - rainbow

It was used in the soundtrack of an ER episode once, a long time ago. (Hey, Mark Greene was still alive!)

Haven't watched that for years. Is it still running? What did Mark die of, that tumour?

Yeah, it came back and he died.
I think the last season will be starting in France some time this year.
I don't think they're making any more now, though.

They'd be silly if they did, as Grey's Anatomy is so much better anyway. smiley - winkeye

Yes, it is. I quite liked ER, too, but at some point, it got just too much somehow.
