Peace sign creates conflict

What? ... Yes ... This has been worldwide news as of yesterday, but one of the folks who blogs at the site I work for wrote about it and I thought you may be interested: http://denver.yourhub.com/PARKER/Blogs/News-Politics/News/Current-Affairs/Blog~154574.aspx

... I created my own peace-sign wreath out of construction paper. It hangs outside my desk. smiley - peacesign

Much missed ... maginificence ...

Why not?

In case you missed it, here are some links to some of my latest blogs.

I recently came back from Hawaii: http://denver.yourhub.com/PARKER/Blogs/Active-Life/Recreational/Blog~144823.aspx

I wrote a parody of William Carlos Williams' "This is just to say", about candy available in the newsroom where I work: http://denver.yourhub.com/FRANKTOWN/Blogs/Life/Work-Career/Blog~147514.aspx

And I went to an awesome Poetry Slam 101 workshop the night before last: http://denver.yourhub.com/PARKER/Blogs/Arts-Entertainment/Literature/Poetry/Blog~151199.aspx

Life is good. Many things to still tackle -- fun decisions to make, like which literary events I should go to, mildly hard decisions to make, like which invitations I can accept from my friends this holiday season ...

Thanks for the read.

Free trip to London

Ok, not really. But through the Every Day Matters group, I found this cool blog: http://www.paperandthreads.com/

The Sept. 26 entry shows some sketches from London. Awfully nice.

What does a horticulturalist look like?

I've worked, a little here and there, with the horticulturalist for the town of Parker, Colo. for about a year and a half. We've talked on the phone. E-mailed.

But I never thought he'd look like this: http://denver.yourhub.com/User.aspx?UserID=31138

I mean that in a good way ... Sheesh!

And in case you're curious, *I* look like this: http://denver.yourhub.com/PARKER/Blogs/Arts-Entertainment/Literature/Poetry/Blog~133123.aspx (minus the lovely background, usually!)
