I tried all those other "Alts" you posted Cthulhu, and this one too, but I must be doing something wrong because all I end up with is the last two numbers

Ok, here goes....
Nope. If I hold the Alt key down while I hit any other key, I get an error message... well, sound really, but as we have a desktop theme (Duckman, since you ask), I don't know which one it is. And if I hit Alt, then 155 I get.... 55. B****r

Okay, just a test...Alt-F should open the file menu...if it will do that, the only other thing I can think of is that you have to use the number pad on the side, not the numbers at the top of the keyboard...press and hold Alt, press and release 1, press and release 5, press and release 5, release Alt...that *should* work...as far as I know...unless...it depends what OS you're using...but now we're just getting too complicated, especially in Dragonflys Fan Club...

Woohoo . You were right Cthulhu - I had to use the number pad instead of the numbers across the top. Wow, a whole new world opens up before me *thinks* ::maybe I need to get out more::
