Funny thing is, I wouldn't have minded so much if it wasn't so badly paid.
I worked there for 24 hours, and that should pay me €130.
I still haven't gone and claimed my money.

I meant to do it on Thursday, when I brought back the washed and ironed blouse and apron and tie, but she was all alone in the shop, and it was full of customers. I very nearly pitied her.

Yes, because it's up to her how much she pays. If she wants decent staff who stays, she'll have to offer better conditions - and it's not the shifts I'm talking about.

No, much more exciting than that:

It sounds as if you're excited, but I don't understand a word.
Hey, I talked with B the other night about another hootoo beerfest.
I quite liked the one I attended as non-beer drinking but wine drinking guest, even though I paid for it the enxt day.
Gotcha !

You should have a go next year. Imagine if you finished ahead of anyone
I was thinking of having a solo beerfest tonight, but I decided to save the good beer for another night.

aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 27, 2008
I don't even know how it's played (the hootoo game, that is, let alone real cricket).
Oh, a solo beer fest? I hope you read the 'Guide on getting drunk alone' then.
Gotcha !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 27, 2008
Oh, all you do is pick some players, then hope for the best. That's what most people do, anyway. It's based on the County game, which most people know very little about.
I probably should have done a solo beerfest, but the cricket had to come first. It's a lot of work, and I can't update the final tables while tiddly, can I?

I can hear the sounds of calculators clacking as far away as Australia...

I've seen the trout post in that thread.
Who has won then? Do I have to click on the link to find out?
Gotcha !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 27, 2008
AndyG won it!

Go on, have a go at the winter version I've just detailed at F6833120?thread=5931337 - all you have to do is pick a name from a list. And if you pick someone stupid, I'll give you a poke
Gotcha !
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 27, 2008
I'll have a look, I promise. I'm too tired now to go through lists.
Gotcha !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 27, 2008
Ah, there's no list. I'm just asking if anyone is interested in looking at a list at some point in the near future on that thread
