FK Winter International Series?
Skankyrich [?] Started conversation Sep 27, 2008
Anyone fancy playing a mini-version to keep us going over the winter?
We could play a version along the lines of the Test punditry I used earlier in the season:
Before each international series, I post a list of the squads selected. You pick a player from each side to score points for you through the series and email his name to me. The points he scores are divided by the number of people who selected him and added to your total. No division between Test, ODI and Twenty20; all the points go to one league. It runs from now until the 5th ODI between England and WI on 3rd April as listed here http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/fixtures/default.stm Simple as that.
It would mean that everyone signing up would have to keep an eye on this page to see what's coming up, but that's about it.
What do you think?

All of them. It's about a once-a-month commitment - not one for each game, but one for each series.

Count me in!! I'm getting one month's Sky Sports as a Christmas present for the Aus/SAf series. This will just add extra interest.

I'm in!
Should be easier for you to run a game like this over the winter than the summer, surely?

We'll have half a dozen at least, then - the more the merrier, but that's enough for it to be viable. I'll sort out some details over the next few days
It should be a lot easier to sort out, B. I'm not one for complaining, but the main season still takes me around 3 hours to update. This should take minutes, and there's even a possibility of live commentary updates whenever I happen to be watching a game, too.

Feel free to tell anyone else who may be interested about this. Five is a pretty low take-up, though it's early days yet.

No need to sign up unless you already have, but please make sure you subscribe. I'll publish squad lists and give you updates over there.
