I think you should; in fact, I think it would've been better to have left it in there while you worked on it. You won't get any comments on it if it isn't in there - I think most people dip into the forum rather than subscribe to it, so potentially you're missing out on a lot of reads.

Oh, OK, I'll put it back in then if you think it's worth it. If there's no improvement, I don't think I'll ever get there, though.

It's at the point where we can run it anyway, I think, but it would be interesting to leave it in there for a week or so to see what responses you do get. I may do a pre-submission edit before you send it in as EC, though, if that's ok with you.

I'm not quite sure what that is, but you can do it anyway.

Basically, you'll leave it with me to work on, and I'll submit it on your behalf. You'll then pick up my submission as normal, do your stuff, then submit it again as EC.

I used to do this way back in the day with newer writers so that the editing took less time on publication week, and it's something I'd like to start doing again. I'm trying to spread my own workload out as well, because if I always wait for EC to come in I can have a long evening before we go live. I'm not saying that editing this will take a long time, of course, but your submissions won't have come through an Assistant and mine will be the first pair of fresh eyes they've seen

Oh, yes, absolutely, do that. You know as well as me how difficult or even impossible it is to find your own mistakes, and not being a native speaker, it's even more essential that it's checked thoroughly.
