h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm very busy offline at the moment. I have a huge backlog of conservation and other work to get through, and I'm finding it quite a struggle to complete one project in particular. To be honest, it's starting to get me down.

Though I'll be keeping my browser refreshing while I work from home, I won't be completing anything I've started or working on anything new until I've caught up. Apologies to those who are waiting for me to work on things, but unless I cut back here for a week or two (or three) I'mgoing to have no free time whatsoever.

I'm sure everything here can wait

You do what you have to do; and the rest of us will wait around until you are good and ready

You won't work well here unless you are happy, so go off and do whatever you have to do elsewhere, and come back when you know you can spare the time.

I get very frustrated at having to take a back seat, especially when the University project I've been working on since the spring is so close to completion. Some of the work I'm doing is a real grind; I'm just trying to keep thinking 'it will pay for a holiday'...

I think it's true that I'll be better here when it's all done and I'm more chipper. I don't want to start to see the site as more work, so I plan to lurk around, complaining about things as and when appropriate, and return properly with gusto when I'm feeling better. Thanks guys
