That sounds like a creative, simple and yet perfectly effective idea. "Mini-green-houses" ... I like that.
So then you live in a much warmer zone than I ever have. The place where I met my 2nd (current and final) wife was about 3 hours drive north of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Summers would reach 42C, and winters -42C ... What a range, eh?
Meanwhile, what-ever are you doing up so early on a Monday morning? (He says while wasting a bit of time before building a Sunday supper ...)

actually I have been up for a while I am filling out a report on Fridays client and applying for a position with the defence force, while planning out the days activities for the kids and motivating myself to go and make whats for supper

It sounds like a busy morning already. Defence force? A reserve or militia unit? I was in our military for that 21 years, and my missus served for 8. That's where we met.
Supper is fresh Atlantic salmon, lightly seasoned, bread-crumb coated, and then in the oven to gently bake for a time. With mashed spuds, grean peas, a garden salad ... A light, but tasty, supper. We've eaten quite well all week-end, so we are foregoing the common "full-roast" of something.

Salmon my fav however we get the pan searing hot do one side with a cover on the pan then flip it do the other and serve with mash, and vegies too though as you can imagine being so far inland its not that often we eat it. Eveynow and then I take the eskys with me and buy a whole mess of fish pack it in ice and then stock the laundry freezer with it.
The defence force here are looking for counsellors/therapists to work on a tripartisan basis with defence force families. The position means working with army, raaf and navy bases all over the country that would require quite a bit of flying and my husband retiring which he doesn't mind he would take over with the children, do some study and do the odd job here and there. Meanwhile I would help families in crisis and build sronger supports for the families of serving members and I could still study and work from home It would be a challenge and take some adjustments and I think every therapist in teh country is going to apply but what the heck I 'll have a go anyway

It sounds like a perfectly beautiful morning, and a fabulous way to begin a day.
We are about 1,000 miles in-land from the Atlantic, which makes us about 4,500 miles inland from the Pacific. I'm not fussy about Pacific salmon, but the Atlantic has such a full yet gentle flavour. There are enough customers, I guess, that it's economical to fly them in. Though such things as scallops, lobster, clams, etc tend to get quite pricey.
That defence force position sounds like quite a challenge and an experience. I wish you, and the whole tribe, a lot of luck with that. Because it WILL impact on everyone, just as my new rambles and roving about Canada has a definite impact on milady, her work-place, even our cats.

The waking of your house-hold sounds like Armageddon, ... over and over and over !!! It must be great.
We had really hoped to have 3 or 4 children, but nature just simply did not agree. And with the military moves, each time we came within reach of initial interviews for adoption, we had travel orders again. So you can see why my baby from my first marriage, and her 4 children are so much a focal point of our lives. We only wish they were less than that 1,350 miles away.
Have a fab day, dear Lady H. And again, good luck with your own interviewing. and

Morning Nic or should I say Evening can't quite figure out what teh proper protocol is
We are off to the city again today seem to have been there quite a bit lately, but can't be helped we have a long weekend coming up shortly first for the year seems we have a public holiday at least once every month this one is for labour day blowed if I know what that one is for.... but the one that really gets me is for the queens birthday each state celebrates it at a differnt time of the year and it would appear that none of them actualy fall on the right day maybe I should do the same just pick any old day I want to be made a fuss of mmmm maybe even once a month what do you think
G'day Nic
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Feb 19, 2007
In Canada and the US, labour day is to "celebrate" the work-force, and the advancements made by the unions and stuff. The first Monday of September. We also celebrate a Queen's birthday, the Monday nearest May 24th. Queen Victoria was in the big chair when we became a country in 1867, so we use her birthday as an excuse for the first long week-end of our summer.
As a Mom and house-hold coordinator, I should think you'd already have your own day-per-month. When the tribe grovels and caters to your needs, wants and whims.

So in brief, it is no different there at all. Dang, ANOTHER understanding shattered. You keep this up, and all I'll have left to believe in is the Easter Bunny.

Good morning Nic see you are in fine mettle this morning I am back from Perth where I did not do much for the economy but I did delvier my baby into the hands of specialists and now we wait and see what will happen. I managed to buy all the children shoes and clothes on special for which my husband is grateful wish they would all stop growing at the same time so I could stagger things more and then it was change my brand new phone over for another brand new phone that hopefully wont die in two weeks time. Beth my daughter looks like needing sugery on her shoulder so she wont be playing soccer this year, no horse riding nothing she is really depressed as she is a brilliant soccer player and was going into an all girl team this year poor sweetheart
PS shes not the baby refered to earlier thats my microwave by the way

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Feb 20, 2007
I had assumed you were referring to your prized cooking appliance, but thank you for the clarification.
Ya know, it's your own fault that the kids keep growing. I've told any number of people, ... ya feed them once or twice, and they'll expect it all of the time.
What did your girl do to her shoulder? I hope it's something that can be effectively treated ... I've done enough damage and dislocations to a lot of joints over the years to know that even the simplest things WILL come back to haunt you as you age.

She broke her collar bone twice in a 8 month period... the second time they were so busy with the bone it looks as though they overlooked soft tissue damage to the muscle and ligaments that connect it to the socket at present she is having trouble lifting her arm without a substantial amount of pain. The orthepedic surgeon is waiting on an ultrasound and xrays to decide but its not looking good at present I would do anything for her not to have to go trhough this
G'day Nic
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Feb 20, 2007
Oh the poor girl. So often, soft tissue damages are the easiest to over-look, and the most aggravating over time. I can only wish her, and you, a great deal of good fortune with the specialist.
For now though, I must wander off again. Coming on 6 am, 'tis time to feed cats, wake a missus, and be off to my work day. I bid you a fine evening, m'dear.

So when you have time, do tell of your travels? I don't want to de-rail Venus' journal too far ...
I have only been out of Canada twice, both times to the US. Where we are, it takes a lot of hours and miles to see any other country.
