M'dear, I do suggest an early night, ... But before you sleep, ensure that the internet is thoroughly defeated. Just so that you aren't too tempted again if you wake in the night.

I plan on an early night but what will we do about your ice.... too much for drinks not enough to redo the melting polar caps boy was it a long day my one hour appointment went to three and then it was off to iterview some people for an assignment at school and then home to find a client in crisis so now I am hiding out here....dont tell anyone I am here okay and all this on top of long drives and three hours sleep

So how many gallons of have you consumed, to keep the engines running? Indeed, it sounds to have been a very busy day, and I can only hope that you find a bit of melt-and-leisure time over the week-end.
In an hour or two, the temps are to rise enough that it will be rain for most of the day. That will help clear come of the ice. And then just time, and rare glimpses of Old Man Sol ...
I'm just dreading the clearing of the cars, and the drives to our respective work places.

Enough that I think I felt heart palpitatiins today so I have switched to tea I am looking forward to this weekend its a long one here so hubby is off on Monday too yeahhhh....speaking of which he is walking around with gaffer tape on his finger to hold a bandaid in place ..... the all purpose item. Do you work indoors or in a hangar and if its a hangar how do you stop from freezing to death.....does this mean if they don't clear it you get a day off work

It's an old engine-repair building, from the early 1940's. And no such luck, it was work as usual. But it WAS a very sloppy drive to work.

It was a public holiday (labour day)here so hubby and house guests were here today which was really nice though I have still had an evening appointment counselling a client in the city by phone and that went well too I always get very excited when I can see growth in an individual
The only bad thing is event hough it is now Autumn and we had the torrents of rain at the begining of the week we are back to 43 and it has been a stinker of a day with more to come because of a cyclone further up teh coast
Even still the first part of the moring was spent sipping coffee in the orchard under the tress with our friends while the kids played cubby houses off in the bush they left late afternoon and I took a long nap on the couch in teh lounge very decadent
how was your weekend and hows the spring cleaning coming along

It sounds like all went pretty nicely for you then.
Our living room has a large window, about 12 foot long, by 6 foot high, sectioned into 3 large upper panes, and 3 smaller (opening) lower ones. The wood-work was painted in a milk-chocolate brown, to sorta go with the darkish wood panelling. Well, a couple of years ago, we lightened the room by painting the panelling with an off white, one shade lean towards palest green. And all the trims, door frames, etc, done in a light mint green. My task for the week-end was to use chemical stuff to strip all that brown off of the wood work (too old and rubbery to sand away), prime and then paint the same minty-green. While I did that, milady scoured our guest room. With occassional help from me.
But the upshot of her pushing so hard was a day of intermittent dizzy spells yesterday. So she spent much of the day resting, napping, watching TV. Today, she is still weak, and we have taken the day off of work. Her to recover, me to be here if she needs a trip to a .

Nope, but she has been known to suffer an occassional inner-ear infection. We're hoping it's little more than stress and minor exhaustion. That can be dealt with by simple pampering and rest.

I've seen the mask, and for all the lovely flowers. Mind you, most folks around hootoo think that smiley looks like a loo-brush.
Enjoy your evening, m'dear Lady H.

The day was an "okay" one ... We both stayed home, and took it as easy as we could. And milady seems to be feeling much better.

I have heard that your country has about the highest proportion of harmful, and simply nasty, critters and buggies. I guess it would keep folks mostly on their toes, eh? I'm glad that no one was hurt though.
No worries about pics, good Lady, I was just being a bit silly there.
If you find yourself with any spare heat, could you send me a bit? We barely reached a high of -15C today.

Morning Nic....please open the inside is 15 degrees of hot hot weather that will bring it back down to 28 for us and i can live with that quite happily
Yes apparently we have 9 of the top 10 deadliest snakes now if only we got cobras here too we would have all 10 of them then there are our wonderful assortment of spiders, scorpians, jellyfish, sharks and even the cute little platypus one needs to be wary of kangas and emus can slice your chest open in a thrice if you get to close to a wild one and make him unhappy and by the way did I mention you dont wont to go swimming up North until you have checked the water for fresh and salt water crocs But nevertheless we have a wonderful overseas campaign inviting tourists to come see us down under...I think the plan is to appease the crocs with foreginers so they leave us natives alone
By the way this is me busy doing homework I know I'm good I'm good no one would ever suspect would they

I'll be watching the post for the then.
Hmmmmm, do you take volunteer foreigners to feed the wild-life? Off the cuff, I could think of a few dozen i'd happily offer up. Strange thing though, they might all have that oily taste of politician, and sicken the poor 'gators.
*admires the Lady's ability to focus so tightly on homework ... *

Evening Nic said as she sips on a glass of chilled red wine chilled red wine he thinks but yes we are quite mad here one of the wineries does a range of reds that are designed to be served icy cold and there is nothing better after a day like today.
Work was frantic the weather was hotter than a tin shed in the outback and Rafes rabbit died of heat stroke today.... he decided it was down to green house gasses so he sent the prime minister an email telling him about his rabbit and informing him that he couldn't wait for him to grow up to be a scientist and fix things he needed to get onto it now so that no more of his pets died because of global warming. Informed him that while a dead rabbit might not be much to the prime minister it was a big deal to him.
I am glad today is over and I just wish the weekend was here already I am going to work tomorrow morning and then I am coming home taking the phone off the hook and spending the rest of the day playing with the children and swimming in the pool to heck with Uni.... clients and everything else
Okay have finished my rant sorry So Nic how was your day any nice plans for the weekend and by the way what is Canadas take on global warming and green house gases
G'day Nic

Personally, I prefer most drinks chilled. Which might prove interesting in England. I understand that most beer and ale is preferred at room temperature.
I do hope the lad vented himself thoroughly to the PM about his . 'Tis always hard and sad on a youth when a creature passes.
Here, we have our share of "expert" doom-sayers, and deniers. It's often a bit hard to know how much is scare-mongering, educated guesses based on very limited actual evidence, or future realities. All that I can know for sure is that the planet is seeing changes, and if being reasonable can help, ... I'm certainly willing to curb and cut where I can.
