Like there's any choice? I know that I ain't old, but it's sometimes a handy excuse ... that I'm much closer to 50 than I ever will be to 40 again.
Have the parents arrived yet? If my math is still workable, it's still only about 8:30 in your morning.

A little "tenderising" and an affable smile never hurts, when trying for a good price on something, eh?
As for the English, no worries there, m'dear. You start getting into a flow and a conversation here, and sometimes the fingers have a hard time keeping up with the mind. So a close but wrong word will happen. My biggest problem is transpositions of letters as I type. My key is taking a real beating.

I usually type everything out in word and then cut and paste onto the link because I am such an atrocious speller and there being no spell check is a problem for me but this whole swapping of words is something new for me My family ofen laugh at me because I will say things completely backwards and not even realise I have done it hope I am not slipping ito some weird old person kind of thing

Mr Irrigation does sound amazing, but you left out one vitally important detail... Can he brew a really good cup of ?
Really though, will he be able to offer your land services that you can afford?
As to the para-glider, I hadn't heard of that. Simply astounding what a human body can sometimes take, eh? I could get all arrogant and suggest that most of her survival ability is her lineage. Us folks of Germanic background are tough. ...

Not sure about Mr irrigation have to wait on a qoute but I think it will be We got to talking about our water supply and he told me not to worry as the frogs are breeding like crazy at his place and he gets less rain there then we do here which means we are going to have a bumper winter....
Sure enough the frogs were croaking this morning and what did we get this arvo rain not a huge amount but its a start...Hes an old timer and what he doesn't know about reading the animals and plants isn't worth knowing I am going to follow him around with a tape recorder so I don't miss anything Hows your day been had a lot of laughs with the kids and mum and dad

It sounds like you may have found a mentor for a time ... I know that Venus also just loves it when she finds someone with a load of natural knowledge. She has written a few entries for this h2g2, one of them on "Natural Pest Control" ( A9568047 ). And just so that she didn't become type-cast, she wrote one of a landmark that she was familiar with, at A14581785 . WARNING !!! There is a piccy attached that startled a lot of people, when it was on the front page for a full week-end.
My own day is less than an hour old, so there's not much to say yet. First of all though, I am boiling a stock-pot of water. Just before bed-time, we were advised that our town water might have a taint.

When you say a taint what is it tainted with and I keep forgetting we are at opposite ends of the clock and is it Friday or Saturday there?

There was a break in a water main somewhere in the town. There is nearly no chance of back-flow, but just in case, ... Until all is patched and the current reservoir holdings have been cycled through, they recommend boiling for a couple of minutes. Just anything that will be taken internally ... Showers, baths, dishes, etc, are no concern. There is no known bacterial concern.
Ummm, did you give the oven a decent burial yet?

No hope springs eternal I shall drive it into the city this week and see if they can resurrect it Tom thinks maybe a stronger fuse might do it hope so they just don't make them like this old girl anymore.
On teh good news front it was so cold here last night I actually got up and got a blanket for the bed so winter is definitely on the way hurray

Ummmm, I've not asked what part of the country you live in. So that I can look it up in Google-maps. Do you get particularly extreme summers or winters? This little part of Ontario is very nicely sheltered from the worst of winter ... by some hill-structures just north of us, and a tidy-sized bay just to the south. Most bad weather skirts north or south of us.
That, and the near-non-existence of migratory paths of the birds here, is why it was chosen as a location for an Air Force base, many decades ago.

We live in the wheat belt region of WA so technicallly we have been in drought average usually tempretures around 38 -42 in the summer and then down to 14-23 over winter with lots of rain and frosts. So in winter I wrap the fruit trees like the avocardos and mangoes in bubble wrap so they survive the frosts looks funny but it works my own invention the air pockets in the bubbles act like little minni hot houses
