The tofurky was good enough that one of the cats ate about 1/5 of it before we figured out she'd been on the counter. She had about half of a crescent roll, too. Bad

Just as a bit of trivia, do you know why the Canadian Thanksgiving is in October, rather than later November? (Unofficially, of course ...)

Personal opinion, of course ...
2nd Monday of October, we feast and feed and over-stuff ourselves. And then a couple of days of turkey sandwiches for lunch,
re-heated turkey and stuffing and goodies for supper. Then there is turkey pot-pie from left-overs. And perhaps a turkey soup.
After 9 or 10 days of so many variations of the bird, none of us want to see another bite of it until, ... well, ... atleast December
25th or so. By which time, most of the gluttony and left-overs have been mostly forgotten. So we can do it all over again.

You don't have to try to eat it all in one week, Nick. You can put some in the fridge and the rest in the freezer. Then just sneak it in everything.
