Susanne - if it ain't broke, break it! Posted Feb 27, 2007
Hi guys!
I hardly dare say it...I think I'm feeling better Since saturday I'm feeling stable. On sunday I was at home all day, feeling a little bored, that's normally a time when I get depressed - but I didn't.
This morning I went to see the doc again. I'm keeping the meds I'm taking now up (Paroxetin and Doxepin), and increase the dose a little.
The change from Cipralex to Paroxetin brought a little change in the side-effects. I got a few head- and eye-aches. And I've lost my appetite (I can live with that though , my figure is not exactly Kate Moss-like). The intense dreams have started again, very strange. But I'm not nervous or sick anymore.

Great news! Wasn't it just like I told you?
Now - take the time to congratulate yourself for having been clever enough to seek the help you needed.
And buy youself some flowers.

You're right, I still haven't bought any flowers But the candle suggestion was good, I always have scented candles or incense sticks burning.
Do you also have "comfort food"? I'm always trying to figure out what's good for me. I get instant pleasure from vanilla-pudding, and peppermint tea is very relaxing . Coffee is very bad on the other hand .
Now I'm going to look if I can find a therapist in my home-town, I expect there'll be a waiting list. But I won't be home for another couple of weeks anyway.

My comfort food is probably beer. (although I've not been drinking in February).
Remember - you may have setbacks. Try to remember that they'll pass. You're going in the right direction.
And well done again for being so damned sensible!

Hey, that's excellent news! I'm so glad that you are feeling better! Rock on!

The last days were a bit lower again, but today feels better. I assume it was the new and higher dose that I had to get used to.
Ed, are you still planing to write an entry on th RAF? I thought of it again the other day. They're sort of in the news again, it's about the possibility to begnadigen (?) one of them, Christian Klar. He isn't showing any regrets though, so there's a debate going on.

Remember you're on an upward trend. Look back and see how far you've come already.
Yes - I *will* do the RAF feature...one day - and I did see that news item. I also want to write something about die Rote Kapelle Widerstand. I found a book about a member at the weekend. Outside Germany, the German anti-Nazi resistance isn't known.
btw - JEllen...should I just polish up and publish die Weisse Rose?
