Various Things for Various People

Sometime in the quantity of years through which I have lived, I realized that there are particular things - items, subjects, thoughts, etc. - that at least mildly, if not severely, interest me. The more I considered this idea, the more I realized. These particular things that I speak of are little oases (plural of oasis - looks funny though) of engaging material in a broad desert of, in general, other stuff. Getting the other stuff out of the way is sometimes a big problem.

So now, I believe I have found my oasis. But what next? What of it? I am not content to simply sit under the shade of the palm tree and watch. No, I want to go for a swim. This is exactly what I am doing now, going for a swim. Maybe through it, I will become a more powerful swimmer, but just swimming around is fine for right now.

That is the general scheme of things. Sorry if it came off a bit vague, but that is the essence of what I am saying. Any more vivid and it would miss the point.

And that point is 'variety.' Variety is a virtue as far as I am concerned. I like various things, that is why it is so hard to find an oasis - it has to have a variety. Everything gets the same consideration and no one turns off the lights. If you know what I mean, then you probably agree with me.

So look, listen, and feel. Enjoy my oasis.
